We had a summer INCOST training session with TSA/Deptartment of Homeland Security! Thank you to BCSSI-Boone County Senior Services, Inc. and Anita Chase Bowen for hosting ! It’s never too late to learn how you can better protect yourself and be aware of your surroundings ! You are never too late to learn! We were happy that Indiana RTAP was able to be in attendance as students and not the teachers! We are glad we could all share the knowledge with each other ! Thanks for everyone that attended and for Use What You've Got Prison Ministry for having the idea of doing a group photo! We always forget ! Just remember if you see something say something !

Hello Indiana Transit Systems!

The INDIANA STATE BUS ROADEO DRIVER DEADLINE IS TOMORROW........... APRIL 18TH!!!!

The Roadeo committee is reminding your system to please notify your drivers!!!! THERE IS STILL TIME TO SIGN UP!!!!

REMEMBER: The first and second-place competitors in this competition will receive an all-expense paid trip to compete in the Thirty-Third (33rd) Annual National Community Transportation Roadeo to be held on June 9, 2024, in *West Palm Beach, Florida*. At least the top three competitors will receive an award and their sponsoring agency will receive a trophy and cash prizes. Each driver that participates will receive a certificate, t-shirt, and other gifts.

IT'S HERE! The 2024 Indiana State Roadeo Committee is excited to provide your transit system with this year's State Roadeo invite and information! We are anticipating a large number of registrations this year with a great field of drivers!

This event is VERY IMPORTANT because it affords an opportunity to appreciate, highlight, and give well-deserved recognition to each and every driver competing! We all know that without this great group of people in the field providing those quality of life services for their passengers there would be no transportation system! So, THANK YOU to these individuals along with all other agency personnel who tirelessly make the sacrifices necessary to afford quality transportation to their communities!

Also, please review the advertising attachments for further guidance on what to expect and how to register your operator(s). Too, we are definitely in need of judges for this year's event! So, if you would like to participate in this capacity please fill out and submit a judge's registration form.

“As seen through the eyes of a LCAT driver” they send me amazing pictures and I sometimes forget to post ! I happened to be out checking a van in the lot today and saw the ISS! Made my day but no phone on me so just trust me I did really see it! I have an ap for that, but the Indiana cloudy weather doesn’t always allow for that ! Thanks Michael Nelson for sharing !

Everyone wanted French Lick when asked, so make sure you are planning on attending. Even if you have never been INCOST is a great way to learn, network and have fun!

Conference update info:
Reminder if anyone is still looking to book a room for the 2023 INCOST/INDOT Annual Conference, the last day to make reservations is September 7th. If anyone still needs to make a reservation, I recommend they do so as soon as possible as we only have 7 rooms left in our block for 10/8 and 5 rooms left for 10/9 and 10/10. A few more pictures from the 2023 Roadeo! You were all winners in my book! Always love meeting new people and getting to talk to them! Thanks to everyone that participated both drivers and judges! Thanks to TESCO for both helping sponsor and sending a judge that hooked me up with free deliver of some parts! Thanks to US Department of Homeland Security for great info and judges! Thanks to Indiana RTAP for the hard work and heart/soul that keeps our State Roadeo going!

This years Transit Roadeo was so.... much better weather wise, cannot tell you how happy this made me! More pictures to follow, but some of what I have so far. Awesome people here today representing all over the state. Very proud of each and everyone of you both judges and contestants! Great job INCOST Roadeo committee .

Are you ready for the Indiana INCOST Transit Roadeo, make sure you bring your sunscreen and your cowboy hat! We cannot wait to see you for this years Roadeo. The Top 2 qualifiers get to go to Nationals for CTAA Conference in Oklahoma City! It's a long day, but it's lots of fun and you get to hang out with some of the greatest people in the transit industry in the state of Indiana!
