Operational Update/8 – Hurricane Milton
Although we will receive a few domestic arrivals this evening, no departures or international flights will occur. Departing flights will begin tomorrow, Friday, October 11. Please don’t come to the airport for a departing flight tonight. Feel free to pick up arriving passengers, if needed. Airlines will continue to adjust their schedules to better accommodate passengers, so please verify your flight status directly with them. We hope you and your loved ones stayed safe throughout the storm, and we sincerely appreciate your patience during this time.

11am Milton Update: Milton weakens and increases in forward speed. Landfall now expected to be earlier. As expected, shear is causing the storm to slowly weaken, but also expand the wind field. Hurricane force winds extend 35 miles out. No changes were made to the track.

2PM Update: Unfortunately, Milton has restrengthened to 155 mph making it nearly Cat 5 again. Winds are still forecast to weaken prior to landfall, but regardless, Milton will strike our area as a powerful hurricane overnight Wednesday/Thursday.

⭐️ Quick summary of the many many additions coming to Disney World from D23! This is so exciting! ⭐️

🌳 Animal Kingdom:
A new land called Tropical Americas - my guess is that this is taking over Dinoland area.
An Encanto attraction with the family Madrigal
An Indiana Jones Adventure Ride! I’m guessing this will replace Dinosaur.

✨ Hollywood Studios:
Mandalorian and Grogu (baby Yoda) are coming to a new adventure in Millenium Falcon Smugglers Run ride!
New Monsters Inc suspended coaster and a Monsters Inc Land! My Natalie is going to be so excited!

🌎Epcot:
A new lounge themed on Space Ship Earth (the big ball).
(Remember they just did that major overhaul of Epcot, so that’s why there isn’t a whole lot. That should be all finished up pretty soon).

🏰 Magic Kingdom:
Villains Land!!! With two attractions and dining!
Night Time Parade coming back! I do miss the Electrical Parade but I bet this new one will be AMAZING!
Frontierland is getting two Cars themed attractions! Kachow!
A new lounge themed on Pirates of the Carribean! Argh!
