Meet "V***o" 🦌 the mystical monument overlooking Praia do Norte that honors Nazaré's rich history and legendary waves.

Legend has it that the statue's head came from a monk's miraculous escape from a cliffside cave. The story involves fog, a deer, and divine intervention. He's also depicted as a surfer, as Nazaré's North Beach boasts some of the biggest waves on the planet. It's known for attracting fearless surfers like Garrett McNamara, who rode these legendary swells into the record books! 🏄‍♂️
