After The Friends Experience, I decided to dive into another world—this time, through virtual reality at Eclipso Entertainment. Their immersive show about the Great Pyramids of Giza and the legendary Pharaoh Khufu was absolutely mesmerizing!

For a moment, I truly felt like I had left the streets of New York City and journeyed to Cairo, standing in the shadow of these ancient wonders. The experience brought history to life, diving deep into the mysteries of the pyramids, the people who built them, and the fascinating legacy of ancient Egypt.

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure that blends technology, history, and storytelling, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s an unforgettable journey you need to see to believe!

Visiting The Friends Experience was a trip down memory lane—not just to the iconic show itself, but also to my first time watching it during my junior year at Curry College, my favorite year of college. This immersive experience brought a big smile to my face, blending nostalgia with fun surprises as I explored.

The journey starts with purchasing your tickets (you can also grab them online). If you’re carrying a jacket, there’s a convenient coat room available. Once inside, you’re welcomed into a room where a short film plays, highlighting how Friends became the phenomenon we all know and love. Then, the magic begins—a sliding wall opens to reveal the opening credits fountain!

From there, the experience unfolds like a walk through TV history. First, I admired iconic costumes and props from the show. Then, I entered the unforgettable "Pivot!" scene—yes, I couldn’t resist yelling it in my head. Next up was Monica’s apartment, so beautifully recreated that I almost expected her to walk through the door at any moment. Across the hall, I stepped into Joey and Chandler’s apartment, where I couldn’t help but feel like one of the bros.

The fun didn’t stop there! I hopped into Phoebe’s Taxi Cab and could practically hear her strumming Smelly Cat. The experience wrapped up at the one and only Central Perk, where you can even grab a cup of coffee to complete the vibe.

If you're a Friends fan, this is a must-visit! It's not just a trip into the world of the show but a wonderful way to relive those moments that made us laugh, cry, and shout "PIVOT!" all over again.

A few brilliant painters I noticed along the Seaside Heights Beach & Boardwalk, their vibrant murals tell stories of community and resilience. Catch their latest work at when you stroll along the boardwalk or give them a follow (look at each photo individually) to see more of their work! Let me (and them) know—who’s your favorite local artist?

While Seaside Heights, NJ, I couldn’t help but take in the rich history of the iconic Seaside Heights Beach & Boardwalk, which first opened in 1913. It’s been a hub of entertainment for over a century, with timeless attractions like Lucky Leo’s arcade (a family favorite since 1953) and the thrilling rides at Casino Pier, which has been putting smiles on kids (and adults) faces since 1932.

As I was stepping back in time in Asbury Park, I was looking at the amazing details on both the Convention Hall and the Carousel Building (formerly known as the Casino).

Dating back to the 1920’s, the Beauz-Arts and Art Deco style of the Convention Hall has witnessed generations of music lovers, culture, and history. These designs, inspired by maritime themes, reflect the building’s connection to the Atlantic Ocean. When you step inside, you’re greeted with ceilings that can soar to the sky and timeless craftsmanship that evoke the excitement of its heyday as a cultural and entertainment hub.

While on the other side of the boardwalk is the Carousel Building, once housed a grand carousel that brought joy to generations of visitors. Today, it remains a testament to the creativity and innovation of its time. The iron panels are filled with swirling patterns, geometric shapes, and floral motifs, creating a sense of whimsy and elegance that perfectly matches the building’s history as a home for a carousel. It also has a nod to the golden era of seaside entertainment with the ironworks reminding me of my trip to .

What a perfect day for a stroll around Fort Hancock at Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area!

Fort Hancock’s story begins in the early 1800s when it was established to protect the New York City area. After the War of 1812, it became a more permanent military installation, eventually expanding over time. Near the turn of the 20th century, gun batteries were added to fortify its defenses.

During World War II, the fort was bustling with around 7,000 service members working to protect NYC, the metro area, and the nation. Later, during the Cold War, Nike Missile Launch sites were installed to defend against potential air attacks.

In 1974, the fort was decommissioned and handed over to the National Park Service. Today, it’s maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard and offers a unique mix of history and nature.

Take a walk through time while enjoying the stunning surroundings of this historic site.

Love doing shoots during the autumn at the Deserted Village of Feltville especially during the autumn season!! This historic local village dates back to the mid-1800s, the land was purchased by David Felt to make a mill with the village surrounding it. A few decades later, Mr. Felt retired and the village started to become deserted, but at the turn of the century, it became a summer resort. After 1915, the village really became a ghost town. It became fully deserted and nature took over. Now County of Union, New Jersey owns the land and preserves the village as a historical landmark. I would recommend talking a stroll and enjoy history and nature.

Being here in the State of New Jersey, there is a major drought happening (if you didn't see my previous posts about the ). There is a old stone bridge in Oak Ridge, NJ (part of the Township of West Milford) that would have been under water. This is the Oak Ridge Reservoir, made roughly 125 years ago, was used for a growing City of Newark, NJ. There was a village here where the "Ghost Bridge" is and the land was purchased; the village and the surrounding area was was flooded in. This bridge was build roughly 50 years prior to the reservoir being made (so 200 years ago as of this post). I did go down to the the bottom of the dried up reservoir, where I would be under 85 feet of water. You can see where the water's edge was and I noticed a lot of dirt bikers and atv drivers that took advantage of the dried up reservoir. And yes, those are freshwater clams I took a photo of.

I decided to take a drive to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Robbinsville, NJ, USA (BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha), a Hindu Temple in Robbinsville Township, NJ. BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is a global Hindu spiritual site that follows the teachings of Akshar Purushottam in 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj. When I first entered the complex, I was greeted by a giant golden statue of Bhagwan Swaminarayan as a young yogi. At this age he is known as Nilkanth Varni when he was just a teen, he is the founder of the Swaminarayan Hindu tradition. There are stones in the plaza representing five guidelines people should follow, , / , , , and . You are able to light incense as an offering to the deity to help guide you. Once I entered the main complex, I was in awe on how big this temple is; it is the largest outside of India. I entered the Mandir (Hindu House of ), I had to take my shoes off to be more grounded, I saw different deities that are important to the Hindu faith and stories on how they became Hindu deities through spirituality and service along their journey. Once I was done paying my respects, I went towards the main centerfold of the complex. You still have to take off your shoes in the Mandir, but once I entered, I had throughout my time here; I never experience this before. Showcasing more important figures in the Hindu faith, I had never felt more grounded before. Being here makes you feel relax and reflect on yourself. The here is so aweinsiring that you feel like the people that made the design should win an award. I highly recommend coming here, learn about the Hindu faith and history. It is free to get in, you do have to wear modest clothing (out of respect), and there is a gift shop to purchase relics and incense to practice the Hindu faith.

Last night I went to the Liberty Science Center’s After Dark event (Thursdays between 6pm and 10pm)!! The theme for the event I was at last night was Y2K!! You are able to walk around the entire museum for this adults only event. Saw some amazing laser shows (2 to be exact) one was a Blink - 182 and the final one was a mashup of classic throwback songs to close out the night. I would highly recommend going to the Liberty Science Center: After Dark events, it’s a great event to hang out or perfect for a !! Also this was my first time going back to the Liberty Science Center in roughly 20 years, and did the famed Touch Tunnel, which I haven’t done since I was a small kid. It is a tunnel where you have to feel the walls and it is pitch dark.

Today, I witnessed the fire at Township of West Milford/Town Of Warwick (Village of Greenwood Lake NY) intensify as the day went on. The scene became more intense, reminding us of the resilience of those working tirelessly to contain it. My thoughts are with the community and first responders working through these challenging conditions. Thank you to the owner of the Greenwood Lake Marina for inviting me on her boat for me to take these photos as they were gazing at the fire themselves and picking up others from across the lake. Let's give the New Jersey Forest Fire Service as they battle multiple fires across New Jersey and all the local and state agencies helping to put out these fires and preventing future fires!!

Had a fantastic evening at Crystal Springs Resort, thanks to my friend who works there and gave me the inside scoop! We strolled through the beautiful grounds and what stood out to me when she was showing me around was the pool (the Biosphere), this is one of the best resort pools I have seen. There is even a fish tank right next to the pool. There is even a small door where you are able to swim outside, even during the winter months, from inside the Biosphere. We ended the night with a having diner at Crystal Tavern. I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes (which on the menu is called a potato purée). I would love to stay here one day (or weekend) to see what other offerings Crystal Springs has it their pocket.

US National Archives in Washington DC houses important documents that hold great meaning to the USA. As someone that studied history in college, being here is an honor. Seeing documents that are hundreds of years old, I think to myself whenever I see historic places, “I am at a place where people were (or signed in this case) that was hundreds of years ago.” Last time I was at the National Archives was in 2008, my 8th grade trip.

The Magna Carta. The document was written and signed in 1215 to have the royal monarch being held accountable to their actions. In 2023, I was near where the Magna Carta was signed, I was at Windsor Castle, the Magna Carta was signed roughly two (2) miles away in Runnymede. The Magna Carta is the main document for Constitutional Law and Principals.

The Declaration of Independence. This is the most important document in American history. Signed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, PA, the document was signed by most members on August 2, 1776, but celebrated the ratification by the Continental Congress on July 4th,1776 (with some signing at a later date).

The Constitution of the United States. The document was signed in 1787, ratified the following year (1788) with the effective date on March 8, 1789. The US Constitution are guidelines for American law for the American Government and its citizens, with the first ten (10) amendments being called the Bill of Rights, outlying basic and fundamental rights for the American People.

Even though I was in Washington DC for a few hours, and saw a few monuments, I enjoyed basking myself with history, seeing the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, The White House, Architect of the Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery and a few historical documents, where America’s history and ideals are woven into the city’s landscape. Seeing some of the monuments makes me think how this country is so great with so many flaws. But those flaws and how we persevere from learning from our mistakes as a country. This is why these United States of America are so great and values that made America what it is. As I reflect on this journey, I’m reminded that our past is not just a collection of events but a tapestry woven with perseverance. It’s a call to honor those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today and a reminder that, together, we can continue to build a brighter future.
