What can I do as your commissioner, if elected, I will get everything and anything done that you or anyone else wants done. Of course, I am joking.

The truth is that a commissioner does have significant influence. However, an individual commissioner cannot accomplish much alone due to the inherent bureaucracy and political system.

A commissioner can amplify the voice of the residents and potentially drive meaningful change.

Last year, I sent an email detailing the city's budget, highlighting unnecessary expenses and the unjustified revenue increases resulting from keeping the millage rate unchanged.

The factual information presented was compelling enough to prompt the city manager to recommend that the commission lower the millage rate.

For the two seats (1 and 3) up for election this year, both incumbent commissioners previously voted to significantly increase the budget, acting in line with the former mayor's directives.

However, in last year's budget vote, they agreed to lower the millage rate.

This raises a question: did they genuinely recognize their past mistakes, or are they inconsistent political players swayed by higher offers?

One of them did attempt to bargain for their vote.

Why were Poinciana Island owners at the commission meeting to speak on the whistleblower agenda item?

Whistleblower was removed from the agenda at the last moment, but some poinciana owners labored through the pain of some self-serving useless talk from some commissioners to speak in defense of all owners that were targeted by an abuse of power and taxpayer (your money) funds for personal gain.

Read below that I sent as the Poinciana president to Poinciana residents and city manager Stan Morris.

I am still hopefully Mr. Morris will right the abuse of power and taxpayer funds by a commissioner.

Please read both sections of this update on city violations to the bottom.

Many owners have been targeted and issued violations with a threat of $250 a day fines. Recently, for water at a finger pier. For the Association, we tried to have a permit to cover all owners, but city manager Stan Morris supported targeting.

Some owners with legal piers were also targeted and issued violations.

Code enforcement did not check what owners had permits and issued violations.

Please consider attending the Sunny Isles Beach Commission meeting tonight, 4-20, at the city at 6:30 PM to support Poinciana. Whistle Blower is on the agenda.

Unit 326 Commissioner Fabiola Stuyvesant did the recent targeting and had violations sent. Why? Because Stuyvesant is on the waiting list to moor a powerboat and -

It is believed she used her position as a commissioner - without city approval to target Poinciana owners.

In an attempt to remove owners (maybe you) from the powerboat list and move herself (Stuyvesant) above others, she had violations issued to many owners.

The property manager contacted the city for a master permit to deal with these violations.

However, city manager Stan Morris denied what the building department was willing to entertain.

You are making this harder on the owners of Poinciana than it needs to be.

The mess grew from a commissioner (Fabiola Stuyvesant) abusing the position of the office for personal gain.

Fabiola Stuyvesant aimed to remove other Poinciana owners from a boat waiting list, move herself up, and harass other owners.

A code enforcement officer followed Fabiola Stuyvesant's evil act at her directions.

And now you want to make it more difficult on owners than necessary.

There is nothing complicated or unique about it. Talk to you people in the building dept.

You're making much more unnecessary work for them to deal with many owners instead of one entity.

These are exterior PVC pipes glued together and held to the wood with metal claims.

Stan, you could have helped ease the inexcusable act of a commissioner, but you're deciding to escalate it.

And cover up the abuse of power and taxpayer funds by Commissioner Fabiola Stuyvesant.
