Hello Friends! We will be announcing very shortly our new Caribbean Migration itinerary for 2024, keep your eyes open! This year our guide Esteban Biamonte lead a migration tour, which turned out to be nothing less than awe-inspiring. Nature is amazing! Yesterday, we received a report from Esteban while in Limon: "Today we saw no less than 5K Mississippi Kites migrating besides thousands of swallows and Eastern Kingbirds." Can you imagine that? Here is a tiny taste of what to expect... Video: Esteban Biamonte
Hey! It's Ashley, one of Cotinga's tour coordinators. I wanted to stop by to give you the insider scoop on traveling in early 2024. With many of our 2024 small group tours already filled, we are offering pre-made semi-private tours for you to chose from. I am sure you have a couple questions... 1. What does it mean to be semi-private? 2. Why is this helpful for me in 2024? Semi-private tours are great for solo travelers or small groups. We arrange private lodge transfers to take you to each lodge. We also include local lodge guiding, which can be private or shared. This option is customizable and can be tailored to your interests and pace. Why is this important in 2024? Costa Rica has become a very popular travel destination for all sorts of travelers, but especially for birders. We work with small, specialized birding lodges. In 2024, many of the lodges are either at full capacity or very close, so space is extremely limited in January, February, March, and April. The advantage of joining a pre-arranged semi-private tour is that we can guarantee you space in these lodges! (We have some of the last rooms left!) You don't have to sacrifice quality or comfort. Plus, you will have piece of mind knowing that everything is taken care of the moment you land in Costa Rica to the moment you are dropped off at the airport. Check out our semi-private tour dates available in early 2024!
Not only is September the time for raptor migration here in Costa Rica, it's time to witness baby turtles! Our guide Estaban Biamonte recorded the sweet moment of this precious little hatchling heading to the ocean for the first time.
Come travel with Paco on a trip of a lifetime! Book before June 30th and get $300 off your spot on our Birder's Paradise Nov/Dec 2023 tour! Reach out to Ashley for more details: [email protected]
