🍽 Dining Reservations

WDW has some of the best snacks, drinks, and restaurants around. Did you know, you can start making dining reservations 60 days from your check-in date? Disney releases new dining reservation time slots every morning at 6:00 am for those restaurants that accept reservations. Don’t want to get up that early? That’s why you have your travel agent to do it for you!

💲 Final Trip Payment

A $200 deposit is only required at the beginning to book the trip. The remaining balance can be paid off all the way up to 30 days prior to your check-in date. You can make small monthly payments through your travel agent or pay it all in one transaction.

⚡️ Lightning Lane Passes

There are many different options with Lightning Lane Passes. But here are just the basic information highlights. Those staying at Disney Resort Hotels can start booking your Lightning Lane Passes 7 days prior to your check-in date. Those staying off property or Annual Passholders can start booking your Lightning Lane Passes 3 days prior to your check-in date. Start the process at 7:00 am on the first day of eligibility. Don’t want to get up that early? That’s why you have your travel agent to do it for you!

✈️ Flight Check-In

Flying to Florida? Make sure you download the respective airline app on your phone. There, it keeps you up to date on departure and arrival times as well as passenger check-in. 24-hours from your departure time, you can check-in to try and get the best boarding spot possible.

⛱ Resort Check-In

It’s the start of your magical Walt Disney World vacation! You can get checked in to your resort starting at 3:00 pm. Arriving early? Don’t worry! Leave your luggage with Bell Services in the front of your resort and start enjoying the parks or Disney Springs before heading to your room. You can utilize Bell Services the day of check-out as well!

Day 6 - The last day of our trip! 😭

It’s always a sad day when you have to get up, pack, and check out of your Walt Disney World Resort! However, to make things I tiny bit better, I snagged Mom and I a brunch reservation at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs. This restaurant is a very popular spot! Always make sure you start booking your dinning reservations at WDW 60 days prior to your check-in date.

At brunch, we ordered deviled eggs as a starter and then we got the French Toast and Hush Puppy Benedict as our entrees. 🍳

Rounded out Day 5 with dinner at the Flying Fish! This by far was my favorite dinner of the trip! We ordered pan seared scallops, seafood pasta, and hazelnut chocolate mousse with a golden truffle for dessert. The Flying Fish restaurant has a 5-star feel and look while being located at a Walt Disney World Resort!

Happy Friday!

Starting out Day 5 on our girl’s trip, Mom and I rope dropped EPCOT! We rode Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Soarin’ (again), Living with the Land (again), and I purchased another Lightning Lane Pass for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind! After a morning full of fun and thrills, we started snacking around the world. We also completed the Cookie Stroll which we had started on Day 1 of our trip. Below is the list of all the snacks and beverages we consumed on Day 5 with the locations.

✨Just booked!✨

A lifelong friend reached out to me last week and asked if I could look for hotel rooms in Oklahoma City, OK. I was able to land them a 2-queen bed suite! Plenty of room for 3 adults which also included a kitchenette and work/living area. A 5-night hotel reservation and all within 10 minutes from the location of the show and sale.

Happy Friday! 🍰

Starting out strong on day 3 of our girl’s trip, we had breakfast reservations at the Cake Bake Shop on the BoardWalk. This is the Cake Bake Shop’s third location as the other two are located in Carmel, IN and Broadripple, IN. Both are magical, but nothing compares to this magic located at a Walt Disney World Resort!

For breakfast I ordered the eggs benedict and mom got the french toast. The clean colors of white, pastel pink, trimmed with gold makes everything feel so whimsical. Perfect location for date night, afternoon tea, or just a day out with the girls! I highly recommend getting a reservation to try this restaurant as they are extremely generous with portion sizes. Many items can be shared! If going around lunch or dinner time, I recommend trying the croque monsieur, club, or chicken salad sandwich. Let’s not forget the cake! Chocolate, red velvet, and the carrot cake easily rank in my top 3!

Day 2 🦁

We started this day at Animal Kingdom! One perk with staying on property at a Walt Disney World Resort, is that you can get early access to the parks. Typically, it is 30 minutes prior to the posted opening time. Times are always varying, so make sure you check each park’s opening and closing times the days you are visiting! We took advantage of early entry and got some rides completed before breakfast. I rode Expedition Everest rollercoaster, and Mom and I both did Kilimanjaro Safari and Avatar Flight of Passage.

At 9:30 am, we were ready for breakfast! I snagged us a dining reservation at Tusker House Restaurant. Tusker House is a character dining, buffet style restaurant. Breakfast has a lot of familiar breakfast foods along with a few African cuisine options. If you choose to dine there during lunch or dinner, the food options are more heavily African cuisine influenced.

After breakfast, we enjoyed the Festival of the Lion King which is about a 40-minute show. It includes all your favorite characters and songs from the Lion King. After the show, we headed back to the resort, as we had a long, fun evening planned – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Rounding out day 1 of our girl’s trip at EPCOT! In the month of December, EPCOT has the International Festival of the Holidays. Along with trying different holiday snacks and drinks from different countries, they also had the Cookie Stroll!

Besides all the delicious snacks, I took on Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Rollercoaster. Mom and I both rode Soarin’ and Living with the Land. This time of year, Living with the Land is all sparkly and glittery with Christmas decorations in the greenhouses! ❤️💚

Day 1 🥤

After we checked into our room, we headed to Disney Springs. First stop before shopping, we had to visit The Polite Pig for lunch. This quick service establishment is known for their BBQ. I got the BBQ meatballs & grits with a side of white cheddar mac n cheese. Mom got a pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries. One thing you will learn quickly about Disney, is that they are extremely generous with their portion sizes!

After lunch, we did some shopping and had to make a stop at the Coca-Cola store. On the top floor, they have a rooftop bar. You can purchase anything from cocktails, mocktails, iced coffee, to Coca-Cola merchandise. We decided on a holiday mocktail flight, and it consisted of Fanta Sea, Sprite Cranberry, and Gingerbread Coca-Cola Float. This is so much fun to create your own flight and enough to sample with a small group.
