Great sadness.. but joy that Ricky (daddy) is in heaven… A life well lived.. a great man.. loved God, his family, protected his elders, always helping others in need of support.

His laugh, his sense of humor, courage in adversity, he was not afraid..

He faced this last seven months after surgery for glioblastoma with quiet humility and we treasured every beautiful moment.

Up Country Farm Tour is a 5.5 hour tour that begins at 8:30 AM and returns to Kahului by 2 PM. Our scenic farm tour departs from Kahului traveling upcountry to the slopes of Haleakala.
At Kula Country Farms Teena and Chauncey Monden fourth generation, young farmers lease 120 acres growing pumpkins, strawberries, sweet Maui onions, raspberries, string beans and more. We’ll wander through the garden, taking photos and learning about the variety of plants and native trees. Shop in the farm stand for gifts, sample local apple bananas, and buy strawberries. Meet the chickens, roosters, sulcata tortoise, miniature horses and beautiful views of all West Maui and the isthmus below. It’s a magnificent bicoastal view of our Valley isle.

At Aliʻi Kula Lavender Farm created by Aliʻi Chang and Lani Weigert originally planted over 5000 lavender plants all from cuttings from first 100 plants brought in from Oregon. The boutique has over 75 products from skin care, edibles, teas, coffee, artwork, and collectibles. Now diversified many flowers, trees, proteas from South Africa and Australia.

You will enjoy lavender coffee or tea and brownies and a walking tour in the gardens filled with lavender, proteas, flowers, herbs, bamboo, olive trees, avocado, macadamia nut, citrus trees and native ohia Lehua trees.

Picnic lunch, a fresh local greens and veggies, grated cheese, citrus-honey-garlic vinaigrette, with chicken, chickpeas, hummus, or protein of your choice. We will also serve fresh cut, Maui Gold Pineapple and favorite local snacks.

If you choose to stop and purchase lunch at Kula Lodge restaurant, there are a variety of local favorites, Maui cattle, fresh catch, gourmet pizzas, farm to table sandwiches, and salads, a beautiful view and gardens below.

In Makawao town will stop to visit glassblowers, galleries, beautiful boutiques in an old cowboy town.

We’ll drive through Haliimaile, the old headquarters of Maui Gold Pineapple for over 140 years. Experience a touch of an old Maui changing right before our eyes.

Will give an overview of the history of pineapple on Maui.

You’ll return from a rich experience in the country back to town by 2:30 PM

If you want to help Maui.. 😭💜💔😢🙏🙏🙏🥰 I live here and we are doing our part, preparing meals for first responders, volunteering and gathering essentials for evacuees. I've got friends and colleagues around the Globe donating money to trusted resources online. I have them also sending essentials to my home with Amazon Prime.
If you are a tourist and still coming, please do this: Pack an extra suitcase or duffle bag with toothbrushes, toothpaste, baby wipes, diapers, tampons, pads, blankets, granola bars, formula, situffed animals, coloring books and crayons...Go to the dollar store where these items are cheap!!! Just drop the entire suitcase because they need that too. Link in comments to trusted resources!!!
