Our Q&A from CT1 about the London to Cape Town World Record Attempt 2016
Nigerian Trucks...
Came across this truck in Nigeria. Unfortunately after we passed it we were desperate for fuel! So had to buy 100 litres off some random truck people. Then the truck with its drop suspension passed us.... Later on the main road was closed and lots of truck traffic which gave us some delays.
Also ignore the spelling mistake you never noticed in the video
1 mile away from tar, when dirt turns to bush - Nigeria
Promise we were not that lost through Nigeria. The dirt Road just disappeared before the potholed tar.
Ps the date is wrong but ignore that. This was in Jan 2016 world record attempt
It's that Friday feeling! This was our entertainment while waiting 23 hours for DRC border to open up.
Casual driving on a road somewhere in Angola
Thought we should start uploading some post event videos and pictures. Now that we are back into work, recovered, over the malaria and clean-ish
Driving on our London to Windhoek (was meant to be Cape Town)
Just a video of us driving on some tough dirt road conditions. We had stretches of tough roads from 30-100 miles on multiple occasions. This caused excess stress on our broken chassis. As you can see in the video the roof movement (after 4 ratchet straps are holding it down).
Just some of the roads we had to take on. See the slow speed is not due to chassis but due to the conditions. Halo lights lighting the way and Cooper Tyres taking some stick!
A bit of time-lapse video through the roads and tunnels of Spain!
