London to Cape Town World Record Attempt

Popped into Protrack Rhino Task Team. Which is where R20,000 of the raised money from the world record attempt went to. The other half went to the British Red Cross. We raised in total £2,000. A big thank you to all those who donated.

Pictures from Angola and Namibia where we broke down in the end. This was the end of the road for this trip. Still got there in 13 days. Final few pics of Cape Town we flew in for the day saw it drank some beers and had to head back to UK

Came across this truck in Nigeria. Unfortunately after we passed it we were desperate for fuel! So had to buy 100 litres off some random truck people. Then the truck with its drop suspension passed us.... Later on the main road was closed and lots of truck traffic which gave us some delays.
Also ignore the spelling mistake you never noticed in the video

Here is a little joke for Friday (true story)..... our chassis number starts with SALLT

That chassis of ours was destroyed by the salting of UK roads which leads to intense rust..... Chassis looked like Swiss Cheese by the time we got to Windhoek.

Just a video of us driving on some tough dirt road conditions. We had stretches of tough roads from 30-100 miles on multiple occasions. This caused excess stress on our broken chassis. As you can see in the video the roof movement (after 4 ratchet straps are holding it down).

Just some of the roads we had to take on. See the slow speed is not due to chassis but due to the conditions. Halo lights lighting the way and Cooper Tyres taking some stick!
