This has been a wild year for me but it was good to disappear into the Park again. On a personal note, this is the second to last lake that I had to fish in the Park before I have fished them all! One more to go!

So far we are right on average for snow pack. If this keeps up, it should mean great flows for healthy streams and the high country should thaw out at a normal time. After last year's short season when the snow and ice stuck around well into late July in some places, a normal year is very much welcome. Time to start planing / daydreaming about some hikes.

On January 26, 1915, President Woodrow Wilson signed the legislation creating Rocky Mountain National Park. We hope you'll celebrate with us today and everyday for the next 100 years!
