HAWAIIAN ISLAND IS CALLING
4 Islands one cruise

Maui, the whalers island,, is known for it's golf, the two major villages are Lahaina and Hana. Many artists live on this island and show their beautiful art work in local galleries.
Next stop, is beautiful Oahu. Home of the famous Waikiki Beach and WWII memorial above sunken the battleship USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor. Honolulu is the main city and there resides the Queen's Palace and historical gardens. The North Shore is known for two things, one is the famous "Pipeline for International surfing championships" and The Polynesian Village where people live and work as they did 200 years ago. The dormant volcano Diamond Head is at the end of Waikiki Beach.
Then cruising on to beautiful Kauai, which is known as the "Garden Isle" because it gets the most rainfall and is more tropical then any island. It is home to the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Fern Grotto, " and is the only Hawaiian island that has a river running thru it.
The last island to visit is Hawaii "The Big Island" which has two major towns, Hilo and Kona. It's home of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, one of the top 10 National Parks in North America, which is part of UNESCO WORLD HERTIAGE. Visit the cascading waterfalls and beautiful orchid farms and the largest cattle ranch west of Texas. The island is also known for it's wonderful Kona Coffee!

JUST A REMINDER
Before you leave on any trip outside the USA, there are several things you need to do.
1st-Regarding your bank cards.
Call the number on the back and tell your banker what dates and times you will be leaving and returning home. Please put midnight on the date of your return. This is very important. Tell your banker what countries you will be visiting. If you are visiting the Caribbean know that each Island is a country and not all are owned by the same country. You have the American Isles, the British Isles, the French and the Dutch Isles so make sure you tell the banker which Islands you will visit.. If you are cruising the tell them what cruise ship you are traveling on and the dates you will be on that cruise. You may have a pre or post stay so that is why that is important.
2nd-As your banker about your card, if you have not received the new credit card with the chip in it then you might have to order one so give your self enough time to received it.
3rd-Check the experation date of your passport. Make sure it is valid at least 6 months from the date of your return home.
This is very Impotant!!
4th-Make sure you have all prescriptions refilled and in their originnal bottle.
5th. Make sure your trip is Insured. This must be done at time of deposit so check with your travel agent. They have your back . Trust them. You work hard for your money. Protect it.

Breathtaking Alaska...!

If you have been on one or more Alaskan cruises, you can attest to the breathtaking scenery along the way. I have readers that tell me this summer will be their 4th or 5th cruise to Alaska.
There are 1,000 islands to sail by and the wildlife on both sides of the ship are a photographers dream come true.

Most of the villages and towns you arrive at are amazingly preserved. Enjoy the local scene and check out the artwork available.

Most cruise lines follow this 7 day itinerary of the ports:
Seattle or Vancouver then onward to Ketchikan then to Sitka, Juneau, Skagway and Seaward. This itinerary could be adjusted according to the cruise line.
You can cruise from Seattle and or Vancouver going Northbound. Starting in Seattle you can go a few days early and visits many beautiful places. The same goes for flying to Vancouver or go early and stay a couple of nights if you have time. Remember, you do need a passport or passport card to cruise to Alaska because you travel through Canadian waters.

You may choose to just relax and enjoy the scenery and take just a few low key excursions or jump right in to take advantage of all that is offered.
There is Horseback riding, enjoy the Grizzly Falls Zip Line adventure, White pass railway & Alaska Sled Dog adventure (this one should be booked as soon as possible as it fills up first. Kayaking, Private tours in a Hummer, Hike and Float Adventure, Glacier viewing by helicopter. This is just a few from which to choose.

The weather changes so take a couple of layers of clothes and a wind breaker. This cruise is very casual but you still need a sports jacket for dining in the main dining room but no tie.

The season is short (May-Sept) so if this is on your bucket list call and find out which cruise line would fit your dates and budget. Whether you go solo, with your favorite squeeze, or get a few couples together, it will be one of the most memorable trips you will have and you will want to go back again.

BEFORE THE RACE TO CUBA BEGINS

Royal Caribbean cruise Line is spending millions of dollars to upgrade and to welcome back " Empress of the Seas", formerly known as The Nordic Empress. She will come back to be deployed as a 4 and 5 day short cruises departing from Key West? That a new one, there is talk that it will be going either to the Caymen Islands or to Cozumel Mexico on 4 and 5 day cruises.. It is also a rumor that it will stay overnight at the port, when decided.
But....the news is that RCCL is waiting for Cuba's approval to start cruising to Cuba from FLL
Among those ships waiting for approval to start cruising to Cuba is Crystal and Norweign Cruise Lines. These 3 ship lines are among those waiting to rides the waves to Cuba hopefully by late summer or early fall.
Holding 1602 passengers The Empress of the Sea is "redoing"
the staterooms and updating the casino. The Royal Caribbean's "Chops Grill will be welcomed aboard,as the specialty restaurant
and a Bolovos Latin Lounge is also being added.
There will be a DJ driven Pool Party called "Plunge" and Brunch will be served along with complimentary Bloody Mary's cocktails or Mimosas

This and That....Richard Branson Cruises?
Richard Branson the British Billionaire Entrepreneur announced last year that he was joining the cruise industry. He holds a presence globally with Virgin Airlines. "I'm going to shake up the cruise industry with new fresh ideals for all cruisers" . He states " He plans on showing the cruise industry what a cruise ship should be". We will have to wait about two years but he has already started putting his team together. Based out of Miami he has hired Tom McAlpin (who once was CEO of Disney Cruises) and Tom once also was CEO of World Condo Cruises. Virgin Cruises will be the first new cruise line to enter the market since Disney Cruises in 1996. I am sure you will be able to make "blind reservations" just as soon as his marketing department is set up and he get delivery dates on his two cruise-liners he is having built. I'm sure we will hear more in the months to come.

This is what reviewers have reported when returning from "Bloody Bay", Don't let the name fool you. It is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Jamaica. The bay is located in Negril which is on the western tip of the Island of Jamaica.
