WDW has just released that starting in 2024, Dining Plans are BACK! This in particular is exciting, because I LOVE food (shocker) but also because the dining plan has saved us so much money.

We have gone with & without the dining plan, and have spent significantly more NOT using the DP, when we ate the same on both trips. Typically, we eat 1 sit down(table service) meal per day, and include 1-2 character meals during our trip. These are included In the dining plan! The rest of the meals are on the go, either snacks made into meals, some things we bring into the Parks, and we grab 1 quick meal, either breakfast or lunch.

The best thing about the dining plans is that they’re incorporated into your vacation cost, so you pay for it with your trip balance, and aside from a few things the kids may want or a drink here and there, you’re NOT SPENDING ANY MONEY ON FOOD during your trip!!

I was told “don’t take them at 2, they’re too young! They won’t enjoy it. They will sleep through it. They will tantrum. They won’t remember it!”

To that I say….TOLD YA SO!
My kids have both been to Disney for the first time at age 2, and were absolutely ⭐️mesmerized⭐️ by the experience!

It’s easy to be frustrated with kids on vacation and trust me, I’m no different! But the smiles, the laughter, the character interactions, the joy on a ride… it more than makes up for the grumpy exhaustion or the minimal sleep.

If you’re on the fence about taking the trip because your kids are young, I promise, it’s worth it! There are so many rides and attractions littles can experience. (BONUS- they’re FREE before age 3!)
And don’t forget the small things… a scoop of ice cream while watching the crowds. Spotting a hidden Mickey. Taking a ride on the monorail.

They WILL remember, and what’s maybe more important- YOU will. 🤍

Let’s face it- DisneyWorld is GREAT, but the Parks get HOT! 🥵

Hydrating is a MUST, but what’s the best way to keep your drinks full of water, that won’t break the bank?

Depending on how you travel (driving, flying, staying offsite or on Disney property), there are plenty of options, rather than buying continuous bottles of water on property.

Let’s do the math- if a bottle of water in the park costs $5 and you have 5 people in your party (Dasani is $3.75 and Smart water is $5.75), that’s $25 for one fill up.

If each person gets 4 bottles of water per day, that’s $100 just on water!! There are SO many better ways to manage that for a fraction of the price. ⬆️⬆️⬆️ Check out these tips to help you plan! 💧

BOOKED!! ⭐️ And just in time for the Memorial Day discount! The Beach Club is one of my favorite Disney properties! The pool is unbelievable… With a gorgeous view of the Stormalong Bay.

Super easy access to Epcot via a walking path, Skyliner access, and a quick boat ride to Hollywood studios. And if you want to go to the Magic Kingdom, you can enter in the back way through Epcot and head to the front to grab a monorail directly to the transportation and ticket Center. It is one of the most convenient resorts; the grounds are beautiful, enjoy a character breakfast right from your hotel, & feel completely transported between the landscaping and the buildings. I am SO excited for you, H Family!!

Every time I get asked my opinions about Disney park preferences, I struggle. They’re all unique and amazing in their own way. Recently, I was working on first trip for a family of 4, who wants to spend full days in three parks without hopping (switching from 1 to another midday). Hopping is always my personal preference, since it allows the most flexibility, but there’s the financial cost of the tickets to consider, and for many families, transportation shifts may cause some struggle. I was asked my preference of Animal Kingdom vs. Hollywood Studios for 3 & 7 year olds. And I had a hard time!

🦒 Animal Kindgom has a great character meal, the Safari, lots of places for exploration for young children, a bugs life 🐛, a really great musical shows for kids who can sit.
🎥 Hollywood Studios has a little bit of everything, but for young kids I always highlight Toy Story Land, breakfast with Disney Jr characters, Disney Jr dance party, Mickey’s Runaway Railroad, and Smugglers Run.
ultimately, I can’t make a decision (clearly🙄🤣) and provided this and will see what will be a better fit for this family.

But it makes me wonder. If you had to pick three parks, which would it be?

Splash Mountain opened in Walt Disney World on July 17, 1992, and launched it's final ride on January 22, 2023. This has been my *favorite* ride since childhood, one which I was grateful to take my daughter on for our past two trips.

I'm curious to see what Tiana's Bayou Adventure will hold, and only slightly less excited than I would be for a new attraction, if it weren't replacing a favorite. 💦

If you're heading to WDW this year, keep your eyes out for the removal of the Briar Patch, and the eventual change over to the bayou. I'll update with pictures as we see them!

🚘 BIG NEWS for Disney Drivers!! 🚨

Parking for Walt Disney World Resort guests is now FREE!! Previously guests staying at WDW resorts had to pay overnight parking fees, which have been dismissed as of January 10.

This is GREAT news for guests who drive to Disney or who rent a car; guests who booked a weeks vacation at a Deluxe Resort will now save almost $200 just on parking fees! 💰

And don’t forget… WDW Resort guests also get FREE parking at all 4 Parks, Disney Springs & water park.

Keeping up on all exciting things Disney! As an Earmarked agent, each year I am required to pass "Disney College of Knowledge" training to ensure that I am up to date on my knowledge of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney.

This is sometimes the most fun for me as there are so many bucket list places I keep adding to my list of world adventures as our kids get a little older. 🌏 River Cruises through the Seine River, private tours to the Acropolis, and an expedition cruise through Antarctica and Patagonia. ⚓️🧊

I love that I never get to stop learning about the amazing places in the world!

Fun Fact 👑: In the Magic Kingdom, behind Cinderella Castle is a small fountain. At an adults eye level (photo 1) the crown appears to be below Cinderella’s head. But from the vantage point of a child (photo 2), the crown rests perfectly atop her head! Mark Matheis, a Disney Institute specialist said, “Sometimes it takes the innocence of childhood to see the truth in situations.” 🌟 We agree!

Dining with kids 🍴… an exercise in patience testing! Well, our kids anyway. We are big Disney Foodies & usually have a mile long list of what we want to eat… things we loved in previous trips, new snacks, favorite restaurant spots.

If you’ve been to Disney before you know that table service/sit down dining requires some planning & that may not fit into everyone’s schedule. If you have never been to the Parks before & aren’t sure of the layouts, how your kids will react to full park days, be mindful with planning late dinners. Also take into account the transportation time to get to/from resorts, parks & Disney Springs.

As much as we have our fav sit down spots, we realized that for now, quick service (counter service) works best for us. We will throw in 1 or 2 table services a trip because it’s a great way to get out of the heat. But our toddler won’t sit still & sometimes we just didn’t need a huge meal if we had been snacking all day!! It’s also hard having something pre-planned if you’re a family that likes to “wing” your trip.

There are tons of great quick services that offer mobile ordering to make it even easier! (Like that one time I couldn’t stop walking or else I risked waking the sleeping toddler in the stroller…. I walked to the counter; scanned my phone, grabbed my food 🍱 & kept movin’!)

Remember- there’s too much to eat & enjoy to cram it all into 1 trip so pick the things you will enjoy the most!!

Ever walk through the parks and see a Disney photo pass photographer taking pictures of families? 📸 They know the best lighting, spots and poses to get your family the most magical and memorable vacation photos! We all know Disney isn’t cheap. When people ask if it’s worth it, I tell them the extra $169 is MOST DEFINITELY worth it!! ✨ Aside from generic pictures, you also get most photos taken on rides, Magic shots, and some extra special pixie dust like this video thrown in there to surprise your family. Coffee. I mean, who doesn’t need it, want it, crave it? I love Disney coffee. I’m sure it’s just “regular” coffee, but it just tastes better. We’re early risers on our trips, so unless we have a big breakfast reservation, one of us runs from hotel room to the cafe at our resort, fills up in coffee with muffins & fruit, and we eat as we get ready. Disney coffee feels and smells like busy mornings. Sunscreen being applied, excitement in the air, socks being hurriedly pulled on and luggage being zipped and tossed so we can leave the room to make it to the Parks before opening.
