More and more people like you are becoming increasingly interested in their Family History - Where did I come from? What makes me me? In my 40 years doing my own family history (with over 16,000 relatives on my database), I have seen many people regret taking up the interest too late in life. They can't just ask their parents or grandparents about people, places or events. It is much easier if you can reach back in time through living people who probably know more than you think. Once you've got the basics of the earliest people you can find (names, dates, places, occupations etc), I can take over and start to fill in the gaps and probably take you back a few further generations. Usually, most families can be traced back to at least 1820 - 1850, and many much further back. Just email or message me the details you've been able to collect, and I will do a free initial assessment on the likelihood of progress. Don't worry, I'll be very honest - time's money. I won't charge people money for no outcome. We will usually start with a phone call to discuss what information you have and the likelihood of good progress. Then I suggest an agreement for 2 solid hours of my work, to explore and capture as much information as possible. We would then talk again, and discuss what further work you may require and if agreeable we can continue on an hourly basis. Fees - Initial 2 hour exploration $120 - Subsequent research $50 per hour NO RESULTS - NO FEE My aim is to provide more than just dusty names, dates and places (although sometimes that's all we can find), but hopefully flesh out the lives of the people with any newspaper articles, memorial addresses, occupations, interests, travels, photographs, etc. The key is - you don't know what's available until you start to look. Over to you...
