I received this information from a cruiser: Here is hint. If you like to earn free gifts with your purchase make sure you use the same Sail & Sign card to buy all the pixels portraits you choose on your cruise. "Even though we were standing next to each other as we bought our second set of photos they would not tear up one card and just punch the other. Our mistake, yes, but the attendant could have been more helpful and enquired about any previous purchases and explained it beforehand." It doesn't matter if the Sail & Sign card is connected to the same credit card or account number. What matters is the last number of your folio #.

Just as a precaution if you think you might get seasick on your cruise. See your physician to see if this is a prescription that may work for you for motion sickness. Transderm Scop - scopolamine. It works wonders!!! Each patch works for three days. Place a patch on the skin of your head, behind your ear. Just like in the picture. You do not remove for three days.

Cruising to Half Moon Cay?

A cay (also spelled key; both pronounced alike as "key" how to say: /kiː/) is a small, low island consisting mostly of sand or coral and situated on top of a coral reef. The English word cay comes from the Spanish word cayo and this from the Taíno word cayo meaning "small island".

An easy way to remember cruise ship terminology:

To find your way around the ship, you need to remember that FORWARD refers to the front portion, MID is the area in the middle of the ship, and the area in the rear is called AFT.

Along with understanding where you are from front to back on the ship, you also need to know which side you’re on – and as on any ship, the terms ‘right’ and ‘left’ aren’t going to help you much. Instead, you need to remember that PORT is the left side of the ship and the right side is called STARBOARD. I’ve heard a few tips on how to best remember these – easiest for me was to note that the words ‘port’ and ‘left’ both have four letters each and both end with the letter ‘T’, leaving ‘starboard’ to be the right side by process of elimination. Since both sides of the ship tend to look identical on decks where the staterooms are located, remembering if yours is on the port or starboard side is definitely helpful.

PORT OR STARBOARD DOES IT REALLY MATTER
by Scott Anderson 9 Sep 2013

When cruising, a lot of people have a preference for where they would like their stateroom or suite to be located. Forward, midship or aft, high or low and finally port or starboard. But what we are going to discuss today is "does it really matter?".

Port is to the Left, Starboard is the Right
From past experiences, I have known a lot of people to choose a stateroom on the port side over the starboard because they want to get a view of the port, right?
Well, technically, the chances of being on the port-side and for the ship to actually berth that way is 50/50.
The captain and the pilot ultimately make the decision on which way the ship should dock based on the space, weather and tidal conditions and how many other ships are in port. So therefore does it really matter whether you are on the port or starboard side?

If your cruise is hugging the coast sailing East, then port side will give you a land view, and starboard a horizon view - vice versa if sailing West.

On another note, if you like both - then why not opt for a cabin at the very aft of the ship overlooking the wake? We think that those cabins offer some of the best views and lots of sunlight too!
