Massive congratulations to Hukafalls Jet for winning Best Tourism Business last night in the Great Lake Taupo Business Awards. And a huge congrats to Rafting NZ aswell for getting Highly Commended in Best Tourism Business and then taking out the Customer Service Award. You guys certainly deserve it.

We're off to Meetings in Auckland next week to showcase to the region to Conference and Incentive Buyers. Let's hope the weather is a little better next week for all the international buyers flying in for the show!

The Convention Bureau is off to Queenstown next week for the Conventions & Incentives NZ conference. Looking forward to some good guest speakers and some fun social functions. Would love to know if anyone else is heading down!

The DGLT team went to Wairakei Terraces for the Hangi & Concert last night. What a great evening, can definately recommend this to any groups or conferences looking for a dinner with a NZ flavour! Great for internationals to learn a little about our culture.

I was lucky enough to have a Fly Fishing Lesson with Brent Pirie a couple of weeks ago! It was fantastic. What a great way to start a day of conference! Be collected by your guide at your hotel, as the sun comes up, enjoy an hour or so of peace, quiet and tranquility on the banks of the Waitahanui River, before heading back to the hotel for a days conference! This is the perfect way to inspire and 'cleanse' the mind, before settling down to work!
