🚨 Burn Ban Enacted for Gillespie County 🚨

The Gillespie County Commissioners Court has enacted a burn ban. All open burning is prohibited in the unincorporated areas of Gillespie County, except for burning in approved enclosures like trash barrels with a mesh cover and charcoal grills.

🔥 Why the Ban? Due to dry conditions and lack of significant rainfall, open burning poses a severe wildfire risk, endangering lives and property.

⚠️ Penalties: Violating this order is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $500.

When you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with even more restroom locations along our route!

Look for our portable restrooms on the south side of the 300 block of East Main Street, near the corner of South Llano and Main (just behind Carousel on Main) and at the corner of South Milam and Main. The public restrooms at Marktplatz (100 block of West Main) and by the Visitor Information Center (corner of Austin and Lincoln) are also available.

Mark your calendars for SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th @ 10am. Santa will take a quick trip down Main Street on a Fbg Fire Truck with a Fbg Police Dept. es**rt and then stop at the Gazebo behind the Gillespie Co. Courthouse. He will be taking pictures (with your camera) and handing out goodie bags!!!
