Okay, roasting round two—Universal Studios edition. Let’s light this one up like the archway behind you.
First of all, props to the squad for looking like the promotional poster for a sitcom titled “Theme Park Misadventures.” Dad’s rocking that “I may not know where we’re going, but I’m carrying everyone's snacks” energy in that bright blue shirt. Man’s dressed like a tech support guy who wandered into the park by accident.
Grandma? Oh, she’s not here for the rides. She’s here for the vibes and probably to tell the staff how things were better before fast passes. Straight up queen energy.
Front row? Mom's selfie game is strong, giving full "holiday card takeover" face. That sweater? Screaming, "I planned this trip six months ago and made a spreadsheet." And her glasses? High-key serving “hip librarian who runs the PTA and a local Etsy store.”
And the kid? That smirk says, “I will ride the Minions ride four times and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Overall, this photo says “We came. We saw. We conquered the churro stand.”

I've seen today's prompt, Universal Monsters, be used in so many unique ways, and I'm here to add another to the mix.

Are minions monsters? Heck no! We love them! But, their colors happen to remind me of something very important: the monsters who have invaded Ukraine. Because of this, let me tell you a story. It's a but long, but I promise it's worth it!

I honestly don't know how long Kind House Ukraine Bakery has been around, but, I was made aware of them when Russia invaded Ukraine. At that point, they were a non-profit bakery running out of a house who sends their proceeds to help the people of Ukraine. You can see their success stories on their website. They were by donation only, and you could get all sorts of things from yummy treats, to unique handmade Ukrainian products and toys. So cool!

At this point, there was SO MUCH support for Ukraine on both sides of the political aisle. It was nice to see everyone come together to support a local non-profit, and the country of Ukraine. They grew so much they did eventually open a store front!

Fast forward to 2025, and there has obviously been a shift. Those same people who wanted to help Ukraine are now villanizing them and wanting the US to abandon them. I don't want to go into too much detail, but what I will say is that this shift has hurt my heart.

For these reasons, I would implore all of you to support Ukraine in one way or another! If you're local to the Texas Panhandle, swing by and check out their offerings. If you're not, use the link below to donate or find another way to support Ukraine!

March Disneybound Challenge Day 4: Tiana!

This is a bound I've wanted to do for a LONG time. I had a "Roaring 20s" themed wedding, and this dress has always reminded me of Tiana's Almost There look! So, meet my reception dress I can finally fit in again: 10 years later. And that's the exact lipstick I wore at my wedding, too! I've kept it all these years.

Oh, and the real ones who know I'm from Texas will know those aren't really beingets... care to take a guess what we are serving at the Adventure IRL house tonight??
