Day 1 - ease into your stay, pop into a local distillery, explore a bit and end with Michelin star dining

Controversial opinion about travel coming at you

When it comes to travel planning you don’t have to be the expert.

Yes, even as the travel agent.

In fact, I would argue that you definitely shouldn’t be.

Why?

Because you don’t *have* to be.

You want to sell great travel experiences, and focus on providing an excellent customer experience, right?

The fastest and easiest way to do that is to use the strengths of the people and the resources around you.

Your calendar will thank you.

Your bank account will thank you.

YOU will thank you.

Focus on doing the things in your travel biz you can’t quite delegate, and free up time by finding resources, people, and experts, who can fill in the gaps.

Why spend a bunch of your time planning your client's trips when there are people for that?

I was browsing Forbes the other day and came across an article on hiddne gems in England and here’s what it had to say:

1⃣ The Yorkshire Wolds: Often overshadowed by the more famous Cotswolds, the Yorkshire Wolds are emerging as a hidden gem in British tourism. These chalk and limestone hills offer a peaceful and less-crowded alternative to popular destinations like the Dales and the Moors.

2⃣ David Hockney's Influence: Artist David Hockney had a home in the Yorkshire Wolds and painted numerous landscapes in the area. Self-guided walks can take you to the locations that inspired his artwork, allowing you to explore the serene countryside he loved.

3⃣ Attractions in the Yorkshire Wolds: The Yorkshire Wolds offer attractions such as the 79-mile Yorkshire Wolds walking trail, the medieval village of Wharram Percy, the town of Beverley with its stunning architecture, and historic estates like Sledmere House. The thing about booking a trip based on what you see online?

You won’t know from the photos and the website.

This travel supplier who’s spent hundreds of hours traveling researching and getting to know the destinations I specialize in knows this better than anyone 👇

You can read alllll the articles online and look at every single brochure, but absolutely nothing beats the firsthand experience of being in a destination, at a castle or staying at a boutique hotel, in the very thick of things.

So many travel questions and not nearly enough time in the day scour Google to answer them all — am I right or am I right? 👇

❓Which hotel room type gets the best view?

❓And what about the junior suite? Is it *actually* a decent size, or is it worth the upgrade to a full suite?

❓And what about recent renovations? Have all of the rooms in the hotel been updated, or are they dated?

These are all questions you may be asking yourself about the hotel you’re considering for your trip to the UK this summer, and the answers will be tricky to find in a Google search.
