B O A T S P O T L I G H T - NORDVÆR

Journey through the hidden wonders of Norway’s coast onboard NORDVÆR. This spacious Lagoon 51 accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins, and is looked after by an expert duo - Captain Eric and Marte.

NORDVÆR is equipped for year-round sailing in Northern
Europe, thanks to her roster of extensive facilities and amenities. Accommodation is divided into 4 high-spec and spacious cabins: an Owner’s suite, two ensuite guest cabins and one twin cabin. On deck, the forward cockpit, flybridge, aft cockpit and swim platforms offer expansive outdoor spaces for our guests in any weather.

Inside, an inviting lounge and dining area offers your party ‘hygge’ and relaxation. Kayaks, freediving, and fishing equipment are available onboard all year round and skiing and snowshoeing equipment can be provided during the winter and spring seasons.

Meet the crew: Captain Michael,Chef Casey, First Mate Christo, Stewardess Chene - On board: AE**US77

Captain Michael
Michael started off his sailing career in the Mediterranean and now calls the Caribbean home. He loves the underwater world and earned his Divemaster in Cozumel followed by his Instructor License in Roatan. His favorite fish is the porcupine fish so you will see him frantically point each one out when you go diving!

Chef Casey
Casey left behind the “norm “ and caught the travel bug-bad! Before deciding to call the Caribbean home, she was a nomad traveling the world experiencing the kindness of strangers, new cultures, and all things food!

First Mate Christo
The fact that my office is on top and underneath the ocean makes me extremely happy. This is what drew me towards yachting, I just love being around or in the big blue sea.

Stewardess Chene
Chene has a passion for mother nature as she has always been in/on or around mountains and the ocean. Her father always dreamt that she would work in the yachting industry as he was a huge lover of sailing. They would go out sailing with his friends at any opportunity.

Meet the crew: Captain Remi and Chef Jessa
On board: Katlo

Captain Remi: Remi is from the beautiful tropical island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, where he spent most of his childhood growing his passion for surfing and sailing.

Remi moved to South Africa to further his education, from primary through university. He completed a degree in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. After working in his field, he decided he was better suited for the water, putting his years of sailing as a child to good use.

Chef Jessa: Jessa was born in Colorado and raised in Texas, and her love for the great outdoors began at a young age. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from Texas State University in 2015 and has always had a passion for working with people, especially in the hospitality industry. In 2017 she decided she wanted to live and work in the tropics full time, so she quit her desk job in Human Resources and traded in the cubicle for the sailboat galley life.

Jessa began her career as a yacht chef in May 2017, and she loved the yachting lifestyle so much that she spent the next three years working on sailing yachts in Croatia. Since then, she has traveled to four different continents, including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and explored many of the Caribbean islands. The Virgin Islands quickly became one of her favorite places after sailing and working there at the end of 2018. She knew instantly that she wanted to further her career there and in 2019 she began chartering full time in the Caribbean.
