The Mull Highland Games have a picture postcard backdrop that adds scenic beauty to the drama enacted on the games field. A Traditional Highland Games featuring Highland dancing, tossing the caber and hammer throwing as well as piping and track events.

Well the weather here on Mull has taken a turn towards the grey and damp! on the bright side it gives me a chance to process some images. This is a bird we have been working with for several years now and at a sprightly 22 years young he should be around for plenty more seasons to come.

Excellent day out! Good news about extra ferries to Kilchoan
Kilchoan -Tobermory ferry is now on the Summer timetable and this year for the first time we even have a Sunday boat, every Sunday........until late October! 7 sailings a day Mon-Sat DEPART Kilchoan 8am then every couple of hours until last boat at 6.35pm Sunday boat is good aswell, 5 sailings. First one departs Kilchoan at 10.15am and the last depart Tob on a Sunday is the 4pm. The lighthouse visitor centre also opens today for the season, nice to be able to head there for a wee Strawberry tart :)

Ulva Cottage sleeps 5 (plus 1 folding bed) in 3 bedrooms, and is located halfway between the ferry at Craignure and Tobermory - it makes a great base for visiting the Isle of Mull.
