24/01/2024
Due to the renovation work at the Noccalula Falls Campground, the upper portion of Black Creek Trail will be closed from the chapel to Cascade Creek from Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, until Friday, March 1, 2024.
The Black Creek Trail can still be accessed from the southwest trail head located at the bottom of the mountain at 911 Black Creek Road, Gadsden.
The paid portion of Noccalula Falls Park (1500 Noccalula Road, Gadsden) will be reopening early to help accommodate fly fishing and hiking in the gorge during this time.
If you have a park fly fishing permit with fishing gear in hand, you will be able to enter at no cost. Regular park admission of $8 for adults and $6 for kids will apply otherwise.
Season passes will be on sale starting Monday, Jan. 29, on site or at noccalulafallspark.com.
Because this is much earlier in the season than the park’s usual March 1 opening, there are some necessary adjustments:
• The train will not run until Feb. 16 due to train shed construction.
• Workers will still be taking down Christmas lights from Christmas at the Falls, so please be cautious when walking through the park.
• The petting zoo will be OPEN.
Thank you for your patience with this temporary closure as our complete campground renovation gets underway!
For questions, please call the park office at 256-549-4663.
