The weather has been hot and so has the fishing. We had a great time hosting the hook a cure for cancer fishing tournament on Friday afternoon congrats for all the funds raised for cancer patients At Dana Farber Cancer Institute! Dates of booking up rapidly so book your special date and time early! I look forward to hearing from all my old friends and many new ones as well!I had a great family from Russia on Saturday, what a great trip! Today Sunday the 14th I have another family visiting from Texas. Many memories will be created and smiles made today

Sunday night at five minutes before high tide I caught a 32 to 34 inch large fat striped bass at our home dock!The large fish are starting to show up.

It’s official, the first fish of the season was boated tonight! The skunk is officially off the boat! First trip of the season tomorrow, confidence is high!

I had a great day with the Malloy family on the Cape and adventure!We went from Essex to Rockport for a stop and a walk. Then on to Braces Cove for a picnic and a swim.We toured Gloucester Harbor the Annisquam river and Lobster Cove,Wingaersheek beach, Cranes Beach and on our return to Essex we hauled lobster traps and took home a lobster.What a great day!

A great day was had by Adam and his family! I especially enjoyed Matilda, my first mate for the day. She even caught the first fish of the day and we had lots of fun. Book early book often and we can have lots of fun too.Tight lines to all!

Season opener update! The new motor and drive unit in the boat have been through the first service and are now tried and true!I have been able to run a few trips successfully. The fish are here and everything is ready to go! It’s time to reserve your special time for sport fishing, sightseeing, beach trips and island tours,and of course fun on the water.Tight lines, Fairwinds and big smiles to all!

In our ongoing efforts to be excellent we have just installed the new motor in the boat this week! Moving forward and getting anxious for our 23rd season!Our perfectly functional original motor is for sale-turn key and fully serviced and in excellent condition.It will fit all MerCruiser IO V-8 applications.

I now have an absolutely fantastic new website at agawamboatcharters.com My very talented and fabulous daughter Alexandra surprised me with this as my birthday present! Hey everyone, May 27th was my first day with the lines in the water. I'm currently looking for bait, and I have plenty of bait in the bait freezer. I had an extra 15 minutes on the ride in, so I decided to swim a bait. In less than five minutes, I had the first fish of the season. I caught a beautiful keeper of 29 1/2 inches. As goes with the tradition, you give your first fish of the year a kiss and say thank you, and then return them back to the ocean. This should provide good luck for the rest of the season. My friend Charlie got one 40+ inches today just around noon. The fish are in. Book your charters soon to ensure your date and time! Tight lines to all!
