Riding up on our ‘Hokkaido volcanoes’ trip into the canyon area of the Daisetsuzan national park. This is the largest national park in Japan. The seclusion of this particular area means that you have to be careful of certain wildlife on the road!

September is a great season for cycling in Hokkaido as the summer heat has ended and it has transitioned to the cooler temperatures of Autumn. This is the first riding day of our ‘Hokkaido’s Volcanoes’ trip and we are enjoying cycling some quiet backroads on the route.
