Jokotta finds its roots in the Swedish word 'gökotta', which means 'a dawn picnic to hear the first birdsong'. And this embodies the shared passion of the crazy bunch who have come together to sing this song!

Rarest of rare!

We had traveled to Spain in the search of the very elusive
Our chances were low to none, surrounded by the fragrant Mediterranean forests we were lost in the scents, the black eagles and there he was right in front of us on the road!
We were able to watch this beauty for over 3 hours!!!
Mother nature loves us!
This one is the most rare species of Lynx. Its natural habitat is open forest and sand dunes in isolated areas of Spain and Portugal. It is an endangered species, with only 1,000 remaining in the wild!

DM us for details, this is one of the top experiences in Europe, look beyond the museums to see something rare and beautiful

Everyday is Valentine day!

We were driving to Satpura and to our amazement spotted two pairs of sarus cranes hanging in the fields, such absolute beauties

The elegant sarus crane is the tallest flying bird in the world and is native to India, Southeast Asia, and northern Australia and are listed as vulnerable
They are hopeless believers in love
They are known for their lifelong mating habits and emotional responses to the death of their partners... they are known to starve to death if their mate dies!

Gold standard of silver!

It's nothing short of a miracle to stand face-to-gace with a ginormous silverback gorilla... to look into those searing eyes, to know he could snap you like a twig, but he won't ...
Moments like these make you a believer

The gorilla families go through a process - called habituation, it takes between two and 10 years and involves tracking and following the animals through the most dense forests of Congo, Uganda & Rwanda.
The process will only work if the group's alpha male, the silverback, is willing to accept the humans ... if he does, then his family will

Guides, to gain trust, will have to act like them, mimicking their gestures and mannerisms, grunting, etc. Its only when the alpha gorillas respond positively that one can spend time observing them and their families

Africa is calling! Drop all other plans and GO NOW!

Reposted from The vacation that altered my brain chemistry.

I think the best part about the entire trip was that we were lucky to get to spend time on private sandbanks (genuinely felt like we owned it), swim with manta rays and sea turtles, visit small restaurants that weren’t crowded with tourists and have the sweetest people guide us through it all. All thanks to to help us discover the undiscovered. 🤿🎣🏖️

REPOST: The story of Mowgli is one of the first stories I remember.
Mowgli experiences the best adventures when he runs through the jungle, climbs rocks and trees, plays with his animal friends and outwits his foes.
A great inspiration for many games in the forest. Of course, Mowgli’s jungle is different from the forests I played in as a kid. There are no banyan trees or tigers in Germany.

When writer Rudyard Kipling heard about a boy who appeared out of the jungle in central India, acting strangely, more like a wolf than a human, Kipling was inspired to write „The Jungle Book“.
First published in 1894, it became his best-known work.

The beautiful illustrations are by Eric Kincaid. (Swipe, please.)

Bettina Sengling and I went to find the jungle from „The Jungle Book".

Now in Stern Magazine Nr 2
Thanks Karan Chawla ( ) for the organization and great help.

Once you go black...

Check out this magnificent Blackbuck as he surveys the surroundings of his herd.
Blackbucks are the most striking of all deer - they're technically Antelopes and are found only in India and Nepal.

This is one of those Herbivore species, that deserve a trip just to see them!

Of course, a visit to the Blackbuck National Park is likely to give you great sightings of The Indian Wolf, Striped Hyena and lots of Harriers (this is the largest roosting site for Harriers in the world!)

This offbeat wilderness experience is live! DM us for details :)

Protection level: Code Grey!

On the occasion of , here's a herd of African elephants we saw in Serengeti, Tanzania.
The herd is the best possible protection for the little curious baby elephants. They ensure that the young calves are always at the centre of the herd, just in case a passing predator gets any funny ideas!

These giants need and deserve our love & protection. Let's do our bit.

To visit amazing places in nature, DM us :)
