UFTAA EGA, AGA, IATA & TOURISM FORUM 2018-19

Well supported by TURSAB, the Turkish Association of Travel Agents, UFTAA EGA, AGA, IATA & Tourism Forum 2018-19, held from 26th to 28th Feb 2019, was well attended and a great success on all counts. Amongst the highlights : approval by the EGA of proposed Amendments to UFTAA Statutes; Nomination of Mr Trevor Rajaratnam, President TAASL, Sri Lanka to the Board at the AGA; very beneficial and much appreciated presentations made at UFTAA FORUM on IATA Matters & Tourism to be topped up with grand hospitality extended by TURSAB and Hotel Crowne Plaza Istanbul-Harbiye,

"UFTAA WELCOMES COTAL AS ASSOCIATE MEMBER"

UFTAA welcomes COTAL - the Latin American Confederation of Tourism Organizations which has 25 National Associations of Latin America as its Member. The Board of Directors of UFTAA, in the meeting held on 8th & 9th December, 2017 at Istanbul, Turkey, admitted COTAL as the ASSOCIATE MEMBER of UFTAA. The UFTAA PIN welcoming COTAL, was presented to both Mr Armando & Mr Fernando by the Hon'ble Minister of Culture and Tourism for Turkey Mr Prof. Dr Numan Kurtulmusv.

"UFTAA INAUGURATES GLOBAL TOURISM OFFICE AT ISTANBUL"

UFTAA GLOBAL TOURISM OFFICE was inaugurated at Istanbul, Turkey, on the 9th of December, 2017.

The office was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Numan Kurtulmus, Minister of Culture & Tourism, Turkey, in the presence of Board Members of UFTAA and leaders from TURSAB. TOURISM OFFICE will be a meeting place to support greater connect between tourism specialists of the world through the b2b it will offer.

UFTAA will now be known as UNIVERSAL FEDERATION OF TRAVEL AGENTS ASSOCIATIONS.
The Fourth Board of Directors Meeting held on 8th & 9th December 2017 at Istanbul decided to announce
UFTAA as 'UNIVERSAL FEDERATION... instead of 'UNITED FEDERATION...' as per the amendment made by the EGA of UFTAA held during July, 2017 at Salerno, Italy.
