I love this vine, one of the nicest surprises that I had in Vermontia - I forget the botanical name, but it was cultivated by Native Americans here and was a regular part of their diet, the small tubers are similar to potatoes, and the blossoms are delicious in salads (if you have the heart to pick them, lol)

I love the organized machine that is our Recycling Center here in Springfield, Vermont, and I found a way to volunteer something to it recently, when I took a good look at a couple of squares of blank white plastic and saw that they were in fact faded signage! I made these replacements for the spot as a gift.

I have just layed down the energetic yellow underpainting for my first mural in about 15 years, it was fun to work with an assistant again.
It is for the two sides inside of an airlock entry at my Veterinarian's office, each about eight feet wide and ten feet tall.
Clente nuevo (primer mural en mas de diez años)! He empezado el trabajo de decorar una entrada, para la oficina de la doctora, aqui en Vermont, el el pueblo de Chester. Hoy una mano de amarillo, para después poder ir dibujando, lo haré en acrílico (por no usar oleos en Verano, en un lugar cerrado).

I have found a great art reason to enter a supermarket - for the opportunity of making quick studies of accidental sitters. The process of gestural drawing is so fascinating, such fun, that I’m surprised it never occurred to me wait in the store and draw unobtrusively Instead of sitting in the car. I imagine I look like any innocent shopper checking a list, lol.

I met with a local horse breeder today, we were paired up by a mutual who thinks the breeder should commission horse portraits from me.
