This is a big No No! If you are getting concrete work done, you will need to consider a reroute or a sleeve for your irrigation/sprinkler system. Not having this properly done in advance could cost you thousands in repairs.

With this very cold week coming up many will end up with frozen irrigation pipes. If you have not already, locate and turn off your Backflow device. Once this device is shut off, wrap or cover the device with old towels. You will need to turn on every zone to release any pressure in the lines. If you have an above ground device you will need an insulated bag/cover for it. As the weather warms, walk around your yard and look for leaks. If you suspect a frozen pipe or leak contact me right a way.
