A beautiful picture come in from Colombia.

In the middle of this beautiful landscape, a deserted small chapel that dates from the 18th century. It was then a doctrinal church of the Dominicans established in the town of Guasca rises alone and silently to convert the natives to the Catholic religion.

The Capillas de Siecha, is just an hour’s drive from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. It is situated amidst the eastern mountain range and makes for some wonderful pictures in its scenic landscape. Currently this peaceful place is inhabited by descendants of Muiscas and Spaniards, who for centuries have known how to use nature in a rational way. As skilled farmers, they live off the produce of the land and the raising of animals, and proudly carry on their shoulders a ruana, a tradition inherited from their ancestors and typical of the regions surrounding the moors.
