Hello from the newly remodeled basement at The Cottage! We’ve been working on a complete basement overhaul these last 4 months and I’m sooooo happy to be done. 💃 We really went for it and gutted the walls down to the studs. The bathroom saw the biggest transformation and now sports the cutest HEATED tile floor. We enlarged and upgraded all the windows, installed new flooring, added Mitsubishi mini-splits for heating and cooling, put in tons of insulation (boring, but oh-so-helpful!), redid the plumbing, and did a deep dig around the exterior to add a foundation drain. It’s almost done! The new cabin remodel is nearing completion. We’ve been working on it since January and it is Almost Done! We’re so excited to share it with you. Furniture arrives this weekend and I can’t wait to see it all come together. First guests arrive August 5th! Here’s the view looking out the sliding glass door - views of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Craggy Gardens.
