Announcement:

With a challenged heart we are announcing that .warkworth will wind up at the end of the calendar year.

We have tried our best to create a brand and destination marketing platform for Warkworth retail, hospitality and services businesses; as it has struggled since the motorway has bypassed it.

We have sought for a local business body to take over Destination Warkworth. However the appetite just isn’t there.

With a lack of funding or support we are simply unable to fund the marketing of a whole town by ourselves. As a private entity and not a RTO it’s further challenging to gain TNZ funding to promote Warkworth.

We thank all the businesses who have tried to support us through challenging times and indirectly promoting themselves.

Till the end of the year we will continue to post and share business updates from around Warkworth and thank all the businesses who have tried their best to support Destination Warkworth.
