What an awesome time last week touring vineyards and wineries in Sonoma County California with the Adventurous Babes Society. First day in San Francisco included time (and dinner) on Fisherman's Wharf as well as a bay cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. Great group of ladies and so much fun!

Friday morning the balloons flew! And what an amazing sight it was! Saw special shapes, traditional colored balloons and even saw some of the competitions. Stopped to see the car museum and the Cadillac Ranch on our way to Amarillo. The day culminated with a dinner and dance performance by the Kwahadi Indian dancers! Awesome day!

Thursday morning Breakfast and Balloons at the Anderson Abruzzo Balloon museum on the south end of the field. It was too windy for the balloons to fly but the special shapes did a static inflation and were beautiful on the ground. We also road the Sandia Peak Tramway, shopped Old Town square and ended the day with fireworks.

Day 2 of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta getaway. Spent the day onboard the 64-mile coal fueled, steam powered, narrow gauge Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad one way from Antonito, CO to Chama, NM. The weather could not have been any more perfect or the golden yellow Aspen trees more breathtaking. Now it's off to see the balloons!

Long first day across Kansas toward the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta with this full bus of fun people from Citizens National Bank. Enjoyed lunch and a Kansas history lesson during our stop at the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center in Oakley. Then had an awesome dinner at the historic La Plaza Inn in Walsenburg, CO. Tomorrow we spend the day on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic railroad on a 68-mile journey through the mountains of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico!

Final day on our Awesome Ark Encounter getaway. Started the morning with a stroll through the beautiful Shelter Gardens in Columbia MO. Then an unforgettable stop at Warm Springs Ranch where they breed and raise the Clydesdale colts for Budweiser. Here we learned about, and got up close and personal with, these gentle giants. Day five of an Awesome Ark Encounter getaway! Started the day with a tour of the Clabber Girl Baking Powder Museum followed by a cooking demonstration by Chef Amanda WITH samples! Then it was off to the Gateway Arch on the Mississippi River in St. Louis. Such a cool structure! Tons of fun! Where can Getaway Easy Travel take your group?

Day four of our Awesome Ark Encounter trip began at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Then we stepped into the Garden of Eden as we spent time at the Creation Museum before our top notch coach operator started west as we work our way home!

What an awesome day! We started by being immersed in the story of Noah at the Ark Encounter followed by a sunset dinner cruise on the Ohio River onboard BB Riverboats Belle of Cincinnati! So beautiful and perfect weather to be on the top deck listening to live music!

Today's adventures took us to both the bottom and the top of the Royal Gorge. We started the morning with a dome car ride on the Royal Gorge Railroad along the Arkansas River. After an authentic French lunch at Le Petit Chablis, we journeyed to the top of the Royal Gorge and crossed the bridge more than 1200 feet above where we had just been. The day culminated with an authentic German dinner, including live accordion music, at Edelweiss. Such an awesome day!

What a busy day in Colorado Springs today. Started with the Cave of the Winds Discovery Cave tour followed by a step on guide tour of the amazing Garden of the Gods by Hawkeye the singing guide. Yummy lunch in Colorado's largest and oldest trading post. The USAFA cadet chapel is inspiring. A wonderful walking tour of the US Olympic Training Center, dinner on the front range and time at the breath taking Seven Falls! Tired, but looking forward to Saturday with this great group!

What a fun day in Cripple Creek, CO with the Friendship Club. After a historic ride on the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge railroad, we tried our luck at Bronco Billy's Casino toured the Mollie Kathleen gold mine and ended the evening with live music and dinner at the Mucky Duck in Green Mountain Falls! Sonoma County Wine Tour Day 3 what fun! Visited Armstrong Redwoods, Korbel Champagne, Fort Ross Tasting room, drove Highway 1 along the Pacific coast and ended with a wonderful dinner overlooking Bodega Bay!
