Hexagonal Tile FTW!
Tilework. It's like woodwork. But with tile. Just a typical Wednesday night.
Throwback video!
Last summer, we made some artwork for our nursery. When you find a graphic and you want to copy it perfectly, here's the old fashioned way to do it. #DIY #nursery #artwork #woodworking #twinboys
This project came together rather organically. The cherry piece was in my stock as a half-moon shape and I wanted to keep the live edge. The design was kind of made up on the fly, with a lot of hand chiseling and cutting of joints. If you think it's worthy, please give my page a share! #DIY #furniture #table #cherry #walnut #woodwork
Staining older pine to match the furniture's original color
Staining this reassembled shelf that we brought back from the dead to match other furniture in the house. This was sped up at 32x speed so it took a while, but worth the result. #Woodworking #DIY #refinish #repurpose
VOLLEYBALL TRAINING AT HOME
SHARE to the volleyball players in your life! Attention VOLLEYBALL families! You can't go to the gym, so you're practicing at home, right? And you're tired of chasing the ball, right? And parents, you're tired of hearing the ball bang against the house?? The answer: Volleyball board. Different angles for different returns, with your high school logo?!?! Awesome. The holes in the corners are spaced 32" apart so that you can hang this on the garage wall when not in use. #Woodworking #DIY #volleyball #practice #quarantine
Try, try again...
Best feeling in the world? Well, no. But it is quite satisfying. Almost done replacing all the trim! #DIY #houseprojects #COVIDcraftsman
Ceiling Fan Math
We changed our name to "Dad and Kids Houseworks" today. This project also doubled as our math lesson today. Hope you enjoy! 😉 #DIY #ceilingfan #familytime #renovation
Shelf reassembly!
I love working on projects when I can open the doors and be outside. I also love little helpers coming by to make sure the clamps are tight and the shelves are level. Watch until the end to see the cutest woodshop helpers ever. #Woodworking #DIY #shelf #familytime #quarantine
Paw Patrol Lookout Game
Finding a board game to play with your little kids can be tough, so I figured I'd make one. Introducing (the not-yet patented and completely made up) Paw Patrol Lookout Game! Using a rotating tower in the middle, you roll wooden balls into one of eight holes. Each hole calls that pup to the tower! First to call 4 pups wins! This project had a lot of weird problems to solve and a lot of two-part epoxy to mix, but all in all, my kids love it so that's all that matters!

Closet door makeover
A bad cold made this project last longer than it needed to, but we finally got it done! This is a great and super inexpensive way to add interest to otherwise plain doors. It really brightens up our entryway as well! #Woodworking #DIY #barndoors #houseprojects #closetdoors #remodel
...the arc makes the spark...
I am terrible at welding. Just terrible. The welds are ugly and I honestly am just learning what to do. This is a skill and artform that takes a long time to master and I have so much respect for people that can do it well.
Adding this flux-core welder to the shop makes me really excited about all the projects to come in 2020!
