Breahtaking twilight view at the Grand Canyon!
The night sky at the Grand Canyon is as awesome as the Canyon itself! That big white belt above the sunset is our Galaxy - the Milky Way

To get to this vista point (Cape Royal), make a left from highway 67 just before you get to the North Kaibab trailhead parking lot and follow the signs to Cape Royal, one of the southern most points on the North Rim in the area. Walk about a quarter mile to the outlook, which is also breathtaking during the day.

"The Galactic Throne"
On the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, in the pitch black hours after sunset, the mighty, forested formation known as Wotans Throne slumbers under the light of the cosmos as a monsoon storm churns and expands on the South Rim. The small towns of Tusayan, Arizona and Grand Canyon Village shine bright as fire on the horizon. A human being is rendered infinitesimal in the midst of this vast natural wonder.
