Remember to lock your doors and don't leave food in your vehicle!

One question I frequently get from guests is where to stop for groceries.

When we go to the cabin I usually stop in Sevierville at Aldi to pick up things I know I'll need. There's also a Kroger in Sevierville that's good, I just like to get in and out quickly, so Aldi is my preference!

When we're at the cabin I go to Food City in Gatlinburg. Check out their steaks for the grill. Early mornings are best for getting there easily since you have to get across town. If you go early, Mad Dog's has donuts and amazing apple fritters that are always a hit for breakfast!

Today the mama with 2 cubs came by:) If you look at the mama bear checking my door the baby is right there learning how!

Tuesday we saw 9 bears (2 cubs and mama, 1 young adult, and 4 cubs and mama) at the cabin, but didn't get pictures. Tonight we had one come by to check vehicle doors:)

Packing for a cabin stay:
1. Extra kitchen-size trash bags (2 are provided)
2. Dishwasher packs (1 is provided)
3. Laundry detergent
4. Hand soap (small soaps are provided, I prefer pumps)
5. Aluminum foil is handy to use under the grill - it makes clean-up easier which makes bears on the deck less likely.
6. Bug spray/ sun screen
7. Napkins, salt, pepper ( I try leaving basic supplies however they aren't guaranteed to be there when I arrive)
8. Beach towels for hot tub (bath towels are provided).
9. Toilet paper (a roll per bathroom is provided)
10. A lighter, just in case the grill lighter is missing.
