Please take the time to read these details. It is essential that you are aware that all 4x4's are not allowed to go Sinai (on any tunnel or bridge or ferry) even if not doing Safaris.
All the roads to Sinai are open for travel, however the roads which pass by Nekhl is not allowed for tourists and expats.

SIWA:
Siwa is still open for tourists and Egyptians.
BAHARIYA OASIS:
Since tourists and/or expats are not allowed to travel to Bahariya Oasis, and the police and the military are not giving permits from Cairo to Bahariya on both asphalt and the desert, they can only go to Bahariya through Dakhla and Kharga oases road.
FAYOUM:
Fayoum is open for Egyptians, tourists and expats to visit.
SAFARIS:

Make sure that you ask one of the professional leaders who has a travel agency before you go to the desert for the road and the destinations' safety.
EASTERN DESERT SAFARIS:
Some areas in the Eastern Desert are safe to travel to, which is a new destination that few people have explored, and it's considered to be a great place for bird watching and desert lovers.
WESTERN DESERT SAFARIS:
Please note that we have asked when the Western Desert will open but no one yet knows.
