The Melrose High School Class of 1979 35th Year Reunion is on for Saturday November 15, 2014, 7-11pm at the Melrose Mount Hood Country Club followed by a reception at the Melrose Fish and Game from 11pm to 1:30 am. Cost $40.00 per person. Light buffet with cash bar; a DJ, Trivia, and a few surprises.

This is going to be a great time that you do not want to miss. Our class roster is out of date (email, phone, and addresses), so we need everyone to contact as many former classmates as possible and help update our master list. Help make this event a great memory.

We want to thank everyone that has helped out thus far, and we ask if you want to help the committee please let us know.

Hi Gang, Yes our MHS79 35th Reunion is on! A few of the Reunion Committee have met already and are seeking new members and ideas. The planning meetings are a lot of fun and all are encoured to attend. If you are interested in helping out let us know. Hey gang, We had a "planning" meeting the other night with some MHS79 classmates. We had some laughs and discussed upcoming MHS79 get together s and ideas. One decision was to keep the "planning" meetings going on a regular basis. Also we discussed the idea of running a "Melrose" Open Golf Tournament in the summer at Mt.Hood with a gathering after. Love to hear your thoughts and ideas...

Greetings Everyone! Long time no talk. Just a quick note to let you know that The Friends of Melrose Wrestling are having a party/fundraiser tonight (3/26) at the Melrose KofC (6:30-Midnight, $20 at door). Will be a great time and a chance for some of the MHS 79 gang to catch up. All fiends are welcome! If you can't stay, just pop by. Look forward to seeing you!

Some Sad news: CLAIRE, William "Billy" 49, a longtime Melrose and Florida resident, died on Friday, December 3 surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Billy graduated from Melrose High School in 1979. A Funeral Mass is being held at St. Mary's Church, Melrose, MA on Monday, December 13th at 9am. Interment will follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.

Great Party last night! It was a big success! A lot of new faces and lots of laughs. A lot of old stories and many new ones. It was great to re-connect with old friends

Hey Gang, The turnout for the party on the 27th is about 50 and growing!! Facebook friends are only 1/4 of our class and we are getting good response from email, phone, and word of mouth as well. Also many people respond late or just show up without responding so our count should be much higher. Talk it up this last week and we'll see you all next Saturday! It will be a great time!!! Thanks to all who have helped!
