Narrow Road Productions is a lifestyle portrait design studio comprised of the lovely ladies: Shawna and Casey. As young women, wives, and mothers of young children, we bring a passion for life to our trade. Our goal is to make the portrait experience memorable and enjoyable and to give each client a one of a kind art piece for their home that will be a treasured memory for their family for years

to come. We also strongly believe that our Heavenly Father has given us a gift to draw out the hidden beauty in everyone in order that they may realize His plans for their lives.

I just love how God brings people together at just the right time....we met Justin and Becky in Sandpoint, where we (Shawna and Micah) are building our home, and come to find out...they lived in Sterling for several years and we know all the same people but never crossed paths until we both made it to Idaho! They too are also building their forever home just a few miles away from our property and also have four beautiful babies whom they homeschool! I scouted out soooooo many locations to pick just the right spot for all this gorgeous sun we had been having that week and literally an hour before their session, the clouds rolled in and the smoke haze eclipsed the sun and we had such a dreary evening and it was getting dark fast! So we made the most of it and decided to have fun anyway and I just LOVE the love you feel in their images! 🥰

Anyone catch the Northern Lights last night? I always miss them but a friend messaged me and I immediately went outside but NOTHING! For her 5th birthday pictures, she wanted flamingoes… But we live in Alaska and have gray beaches, not warm & tropical. How to plan? 1. Weather- flexibility is key in order to plan for a sunny day 2. Time- Not just time of day but her birthday was in July (still too close to having midnight sun), however our sunsets are richer in the fall for a better golden hour before her bedtime 3. Tide- Not only did we have to wait for the right weather, at the right time of day & season, but that also had to align with having a low tide to have some beach to work with. All of these factors helped set the stage for the editing process, which is where the magic happens!
