Hidden amongst the Philippine waters and mysteries lies the intriguing Blue Hole of our home island of Romblon. This underwater wonder is the only known blue hole in the country, resides off the coast of Punta Gorda, the northernmost tip of Tablas Island, Province of Romblon. Divers can enter the hole at a depth of five meters in its opening, and it descends to 30 meters before reaching a sloping floor that opens into a wide, sandy seabed.
Of all the Philippine waters I visited, I always dread on our home waters. That particular spot at Gorda Point is like a bottleneck for ships and boats and the weather always seems to turn nasty when we pass through. We were very fortunate to experience its depth and surrounding coral beds teeming with life in a very fine weather.

Established to safeguard the area's marine life and regulate human activities, the sanctuary boasts a vibrant marine ecosystem. Visitors can also enjoy a scenic bridge view deck surrounded by lush mangroves.
Visitors are advised to coordinate with the barangay and pay the necessary fee.

Visitors can expect a rugged road winding through the hillsides of Barangays Lonos, Bagacay, and Agnay. This scenic route offers unique experiences of sunsets at various establishments, ranging from those perched atop the "upper lusod" to those situated near the lowest-standing windmill.
