So excited to open the studio doors this weekend for Open Studios. You can come and see me in studio 314. I will have a very special guest with me on Friday night .medicine she will have all the magical soaps and potions with her! Save-the-date! April 26 & 27, 2024 we will be hosting our Spring Open Studios! Explore 9 floors of the historic Livestock Exchange Building and meet artists where they work. Stumbled upon this adorable gallery with the work of her work is absolutely lovely. She uses silver and copper leaf on the canvas before painting, sometimes using oxidation techniques for texture & depth. She’s Greek but born & lives in Kenya, hence her painted subject. She has another show in February and looking forward to following her journey. 💗

To say it was an honor and a privilege to create this crown for BEL-AIR Peacock is an understatement. Worn by in the first episode - the design elements are inspired by the two cities Philadelphia and Bel-Air. The first three episodes have dropped on Peacock TV and a new episode tomorrow! Meet Christine Nelson of AnnMann Designs! Christine is a metalsmithing artist, whose work in recent years has been focused around the theatrical presence of the runway. Starting in 2014 with the Ceremonial Summer – West 18th Street Fashion Show, Christie focused her collection on historical buildings, where everyday rituals happen.

Since then, she has continued to expand her process and push her designs on the runway through the West 18th Street Fashion Shows 2015, 2016 and Kansas City Fashion Week 2016 F/W, 2017 S/S.

Additionally, this work has been featured in photoshoot collaborations that lead to publications like: The Red Dress Diaries, Kansas City Fashion Collaborations, VintageKC Magazine, and Beau NU Magazine.

She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts, Emphasis Metalsmithing from the University of Kansas. Her studio is located in Merriam, Kansas.
