Another wild day on the fells. Steve had a quick trip down Langdale and ran up Jakes Rake. Good job he had the snow tyres on to escape the valley after the run.

A snowy run on Helvellyn.

Good run in the snow over Helvellyn today. The snowline was at about 500m and it was pretty good snow for running on. Striding and Swirral were covered in pretty grippy snow. Quite a strong westerly on the tops.

Steve heads out for a snowy run from Dunmail Raise over Helvellyn, Down Swirral Edge and Back up Striding Edge. A good test for the winter running kit. Look ...

Just back from an evening run out on Helvellyn with Chris Stirling. Full on winter on the fells today. We scrambled up a very snowy Stepped Ridge on Brown Cove crags which pushed The Yaktrax to their limit before running on to the top. Whiteout and Blizzard conditions with a strong NE wind. The Petzl Nao stood up to the full blown winter mountain test. Knee deep snow in places. Snowline at 400M. Paddy Cave over at Mountaincicles was out for a run with the luxury of daylight today, check out his pictures here http://mountaincircles.blogspot.co.uk/
