Meet Dani, our trip leader who was born and raised in Brazil!

1) How long have you been a trip leader?
I joined LT September 2018, so it has been a little longer than 6 years. 🤸🏼‍♀️

2) Why did you become a trip leader
I wanted to be part of a travel community, which now we call travel family. There is no better way to make and keep these connections than traveling with the nicest people and showing them the world.

3) What was your favorite Legit Trip
Peru all the way! The group was incredible, the adventure was just the perfect amount between not too easy and challenging enough, and the views are out of this world! We had a great time together and became friends for life!

4) What’s your food and from where?
Hard one! Italian makes the top list honoring my roots, but love me a good Middle East cousine with hummus, falafel, pitta and veggies 🤤

1. How long have you been a trip leader?
2025 marks 7 travel loving years of being a trip leader

2. What made you want to lead trips?
There’s nothing like the thrill of traveling and I’m lucky enough to help others experience that joy as a Trip Leader! We’re all exploring new places, making new friends and turning our wanderlust into a reality together. There’s nothing better!

3. What has been your favorite Legit Trip?
My favorite has to be Machu Picchu, closely followed by Cuba. Both are such unique, adventurous places with the warmest people.

4. What country has had your favorite food?
France will always be my top country for food. They have that reputation for a reason. Thailand wins my pick for best food on a budget and Peru for the most underrated.

Lauren is headed to Antarctica in January and then is leading our Japan trip in 2026!

🌍 Turn 15 Days of PTO into 55 Days of Travel in 2025 ✈️
Want to travel the world without burning through all your PTO? Here are some tips!

1. Strategic Long Weekends ⏳
The key is combining PTO with long weekends! By syncing your time off with public holidays and weekends, you can create much longer trips.

**Take Friday off, travel over the weekend, and return on Tuesday—suddenly you have a 5-day adventure without using extra PTO.

2. Plan Around Public Holidays 🗓️
In 2025, there are several public holidays you can take advantage of to extend your travels. Consider taking PTO around these holidays to maximize your time away.

**Join us in Albania over Memorial Day Weekend, Tahiti/Bora Bora over Labor Day, or Philippines over Veteran’s Day!

3. Maximize Your PTO with Extended Stays 🏝️

“I had the absolute pleasure of joining Legit Trips on their New Zealand camper van trip of the South Island in November 2024. Legit trips crafted the perfect itinerary to see the incredible beauty New Zealand has to offer. There was a ton of logistics Legit Trips had to coordinate for this trip. Between the Legit Trip owners and Lacia (our trip leader), everything went smoothly and our group traveled 1,300 miles together over 10 days!

While the views and camper van life was amazing, the highlight of the trip was meeting the people in our group and going from strangers to friends.

French Polynesia was one of our favorite destinations this year! We loved snorkeling with all the marine life, sunsets on the sailboat, and exploring the islands on foot.

We’ve made some small changes to our 2025 itinerary to include one night on Bora Bora! We have 8 spots left and here’s what we have in store for you if you choose this trip.

“Legit Trips is awesome! I’ve just come home from my 2nd trip through them and had the best time. The first trip was to Lapland for a snowy Northern Lights adventure filled with unique one-of-a-kind experiences that would have been a logistical nightmare to book on my own. We also went on their New Zealand campervan trip which had the perfect itinerary to see the most amazing sights on the South Island. I’ve traveled a lot and NZ is in my top 3 favorite trips now! We loved it so much that we already booked our 3rd trip before we even got home!

Both trips were so stress free thanks to LT planning all the details. I’m in my early 40s and don’t really care to do a lot of planning anymore. I just don’t have the time for it. I love being able to just sign up for a trip I want to go on and have everything taken care of. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into all their itineraries. They have planned group activities and also suggestions for things to do in each area you visit. Easy peasy!

I love that LT only caters to small groups. We’ve met some great people and had so much fun traveling with new friends. Lacia happened to be our trip leader on both trips and she is so great! She made sure everything was smooth sailing from start to finish and figured out any hiccups as we went. She is super friendly and a pleasure to hang out with. We hope to travel with her again!
