Now is the time to plan for Summer and Holidays Vacation.

With the children out of school and the weather getting warm, we all dream of vacations in warm and exciting places.
Cruise lines, all inclusive resorts, hotels, bed and breakfast and
Theme parks are posting grate deals for the Summer/Holidays vacations.

Princes Cruise Line is offering on May 22, 2017, for all reservations into 2018(not including those withing final payment window) a $ 1.00 deposit per person.

Also for short cruises(up to 5 days) the first guest pays regular rate, the second 50% and the third and fourth only pay $ 99.00 plus taxes.

Happy New Year to all, may this be the year that will bring you love, hope and a love of traveling.
There is always a question about the wisdom of purchasing "Travel Insurance"

When ever you travel, check if your credit card has coverage for accidents, illness, trip cancellation, loss luggage, fly delays and medic vac in case you need to be transfer to your country.

If you are in doubt, contact the credit card issuer and if they do not have coverage, it is wise to take advantage of the Insurance coverage that is offer by your travel provider.

The cost of the insurance, depends on the total cost of your trip. It could be as little as $39 per person to a little more than $ 150 per person per trip.

The typical insurance policy covers, rental car damage coverage(if you are renting a car for your travels. Trip delay coverage, emergency medical/dental, emergency evacuation benefits and much more.

Punch in the city you're going to travel to, the departure date, and the number of nights you'll be staying. PackPoint will organize a packing checklist that takes into account:

• Warm weather clothes

• Cold weather clothes

• An umbrella, if the forecast calls for rain

Your personal security is enhanced when you make a smart hotel pick. And your odds of getting a good room increase if you know what to look for ahead of time. Here are some questions to ask before your next booking.

• What’s the security situation in the city?

• Are certain areas of the city more secure than others?
Which neighborhoods might be more dangerous, especially for tourists?

• Is the hotel in an upscale residential neighborhood or a busy business district?
Is it safe to walk after dark?

Pre-travel information is included in your EA+ membership. Upon request, EA+ will provide the latest destination details regarding weather, travel, health, vaccinations, restrictions and special events.

• Do the guest rooms have modern electronic locks?
These locks automatically change the combination with every new guest, so there is little chance of someone having a duplicate key to your room.

• Are rooms equipped with a deadbolt lock and a peephole?

• Are the rooms and hallways equipped with fire sprinklers and smoke detectors?

• Is there a room telephone that allows outside dialing?

• Do guest phones in hallways and lobbies allow direct room dialing?

I know that when we make a reservation at a hotel, we don't think of having a bad experience but is better to be vigilant and have a safe trip than to be too overly confident and have a bad experience. I know from now on I will ask for a room not higher than the 6 floor!!
