"Disney" includes Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney's Aulani and Adventures by Disney. My husband and I are both former cast members with a combined total of 25+ years experience working at the Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve had the pleasure of creating and planning many events and guest experiences throughout the property from dessert parties during “Fantasmic “ at

Disney Studios to dinners on the boardwalk at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. I know the property very well and can help you figure out the best spots to stay, play, eat and shop. You’ll find that I am also very familiar with the Orlando area and what it has to offer. I have worked for the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Universal Orlando and Give Kids The World (www.gktw.org). Planning a trip to Disney can be very daunting and overwhelming because of all the options a guest can choose from. I’ll help you sort through all of those choices and figure out what is best for your needs and best yet...my services are completely FREE. Our rates are identical to Disney's except we will offer our own specials from time to time that Disney doesn't. I'll also monitor your vacation so if a better promotion comes up we can switch it to the better pricing. I promise to put as much care into planning your vacation as I do my own family’s. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Hello everyone, I am no longer planning vacations.

Please reach-out out to my former colleagues Chris Sharps at [email protected] or Jenni Borski at jenni@pixievacations and they will be happy to assist you.

I assure you, you will be in good hands.

I hope the future holds many safe and magical vacations ahead.

This is certainly a scary time. I have had the pleasure of working with several clients these past few days that have been impacted by the current closures and preparing others for more to come.

I appreciate their understanding. It truly stinks to have to cancel a vacation you spent so much time, energy and money into. I know how much you were looking forward to it too. I had to cancel my first real vacation with my own kids in seven years as well. I am feeling your pain, I can assure you.

Here is the good news. Disney isn't going anywhere. This is temporary. It is also the most prudent thing they could do at this time to ensure guest safety which is always paramount.

We are unable to tell you the time frame of these closures, but I recommend that all guests traveling in May, June and July hold out and do not cancel.

With the travel industry now at a halt, we will heal. It will take some time, but Disney WILL reopen. You will have to determine your own comfort level for when they do reopen and I stress...they WILL.

From what I understand, Disney plans to take this time to deep clean their resorts, parks and ships. It will most likely not only be the happiest place on earth to return to, but the cleanest and most sanitary once they are done. I would not hesitate to take my own children there and for those that know me really well, they know that I consider my children my own heart that is just walking outside my body. I'd never put them in harms way.

Whatever you decide, I am here for you. I have worked with Pixie Vacations for close to eight year, but I also work a full-time job in the nonprofit industry. Yes, Pixie helps me supplement my nonprofit job, but that's not why I do this. I like to help people. Being a former castmember from both Disney and Universal, I understand how hard and overwhelming planning a Disney and/or Universal vacation can be. I just want to assist folks to make their lives easier so they can focus more on the memory making part. I also get to work with amazing people from all over that keep coming back. I have literally gotten to virtually watch some of my guest's kids grow-up and that means so much to me.

Hang in there everyone. We will get through this and there are many magical memories ahead.

I have a confession to make. I am not a fan of roller coasters or thrill rides. Even though I have been to Walt Disney World hundreds of times, I have taken a spin on Space Mountain and Rock-in Roller Coast each once. I waited until I was 40 to ride Space Mountain and it was because I caved in to the pressure from my, at the time, nine year old son.

As a Harry Potter fan, I was really excited about the Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventures ride, but not so sure about the "thrill" part of it. I was able to use excuses in the beginning not to ride it. We have Universal Orlando passes so it was not because it was out of reach or to far away. I justified not doing it because of the original wait times that went up to 10 hours the day it opened. Last weekend I checked my Universal app, found out the wait time was 120 minutes and finally sucked up my pride and drove in to Orlando with my now 16 year old son and 12 year old daughter with a mission to ride.

We were going to tackle that ride as I REALLY wanted to be able to share what this experience was all about with my guests. How can I not do it? I would survive the wait and the ride. Flashbacks of having to be helped off the Scorpion roller coaster at Bush Gardens almost three decades ago still loomed in my head, but I am older now, wiser and braver. At least I kept telling myself that while I enjoy all the easter eggs in the queue line.

By the time we got to Islands of Adventure where the ride lives, the wait time was down to 100 minutes. We were all excited. First stop, was the locker area just outside the ride entrance as you can not bring backpacks on the ride. No way, no how. I'd even suggest placing sunglasses and hats in the lockers as you will have to secure them before you go on this ride.

The 100 minute wait time went by fast, but I have to share the queue line is not for the faint of heart. It's long and feels like it is never ending. Approximately 35% of the ride queue line is outside and exposed to the elements. The remainder is inside with A/C which was A OKAY with us as it was another hot Florida day!

It is dark in certain areas and you go from very large areas to small. If you are over 6 ft some of the rooms will most likely cause you a bit of angst. My son is just under 5'10" and could touch the ceiling very easily with the palm of his hand in some rooms. I'm claustrophobic so some areas were a bit tight for me with not knowing what was ahead.

We finally saw light which brought us to the ride load-in area. Each full cart has seven sets of motorcycles w/side cars for a total of 14 people per load-in. I road the motorcycle and my daughter took the side car with my son on a motorcycle in back of us. I won't spoil the actual ride for you. I just won't. What I will tell you is the ride goes up to 50 mph and if you don't like going fast, you really want to pass on this ride. This was the type of "thrill" ride I can handle, but borderline. I say borderline because I'm not sure my daughter will be willing to go back on and if that is the case, I would not be distraught to sit out next time. What I will tell you is this ride provides lots of surprises and if you blink, you'll miss Fluffy, the three headed dog and Hagrid's hut.

The ride lasts three minutes, but I have to admit, it was totally worth the 100 minute wait. I would have waited longer.

If you like going fast, don't mind dips and fast turns at some very interesting angles you HAVE to experience Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventures ride. It is a NOT miss for Potter fans. If you might be prone to tossing cookies, wait to eat and toss back a few butter beers for AFTER the ride.

Have you had a chance to ride it yet? Let me know what you thought below!

There are hundreds of dining experiences to try on Disney property!

Beaches & Cream located at the Disney’s Beach Club is a hidden gem.

Back in the early days, you could walk right in. Now it is an extremely popular location and hard to get into because it has limited seating. Always check back a day or two before you want to dine to see if any reservations open up.

They do take walk-ups from time to time, but wait times can be lengthy.

If you have already experienced Disney before you may want to try Beaches & Cream out on your next visit.
