Lately we’ve noticed a lot of new travel agents and agencies popping up. Travel planning seems to be becoming a trend! And while we believe there is room at the table for all of us, PDBU wants to take this time to also caution you, the consumer, especially when it comes to planning Disney Travel Co. and Universal vacations.
The truth is, anyone can find an agency that will hire them to become an agent overnight. Anyone can pass the College of Disney Knowledge. Truly. Having that certificate is not a flex and does not make you an expert.
Do you want to know what makes you an expert? Experience. Our Pixie Planners have been to Walt Disney World a combined 500+ times. In fact, most of us have lost count. A person is not even considered for hire with PDBU unless they’ve been to Disney and stayed on-property numerous times.
We are not a “join our team” agency. You will not see us posting schemes or “how to join” advertisements. This is not multi-level marketing. And we say “no” a LOT. Each Pixie has their own business that they run their own way. Each Pixie is unique and you will have a different but wonderful experience with each one. However, they are all held to the same “Pixie Standard” of customer service, meaning they are knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly.
What makes a Pixie different than any other agent?
That restaurant you’re asking about? We’ve been there. And we can tell you if it’s worth the price you pay. We can alert the staff of your child’s food allergy. We can recommend our favorite dish. And we can coordinate it so that you can unexpectedly catch fireworks even though you aren’t in the park for that extra spark of magic.
Comparing one hotel to the other? We’ve stayed in both. And we can give you an honest review. We can also tell you about a comparable option that may fit your needs and your budget better.
