I rarely post however wanted to say hello to friends. Have spent the last 7 days in Rome and Florence with 7 grandchildren, and son Rich. Rich returns to the US tomorrow and Chris and his wife Jill join us for 5 days in Lerici (the Cinque Terre) and Monaco. They return to the US after Monaco and Gabby and his wife Lauren spend 2 days in Monaco and 5 days in Paris with us. Then the fam returns to the US and I'll stay in Europe for awhile. Best wishes to all I have not communicated with in a few years. I would like to hear how you are doing.

I have had some reports from my group of 16 as they have finished 3 days sailing in Antarctica and now in Patagonia and that the Antarctic was fantastic with superior weather. Most excellent!!

My group has a fabulous cruise from January 10-31 on a 5 star Holland America ship. The cruise starts in Buenos Aires, and ends in Santiago, and includes 3 days in Antarctica and 4 in Patagonia. Soon I will be sending out a Newsletter about the amazing cruise around S. America, including 3 full days cruising in Antarctica and 4 days in Patagonia. We have an eclectic group of 25 already. Dates are January 10-31, 2016, and I will follow with a 6 day land tour to Cusco and Machu Picchu.

I recently returned from a month in beloved Italy, the 40th year since my first visit!

As written before, I rarely use FB, but hope use more going forward.

I am putting together a terrific group for a SPECTACULAR cruise next January (2016). A 21 day cruise around S. America, including 7 full days in Antarctica and Patagonia, followed by a 5 day land tour in Machu Picchu and Cusco, then 5 days in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle and 5 days in the Galapagos Islands. Travelers can go just on the cruise, or just on the land portion, or for a lucky few, the cruise and 3 land tours. Please contact me at [email protected] for details. As mentioned before I rarely use FB, but I did want to send Holiday Greetings. I just returned from a month in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Sicily and Tuscany. Living on The Strand in Hermosa Beach and love it out here, now for almost 20 years. Son Rich ( 2 children) is 6 blocks away and Creo (2 children) is 20 minutes away. Rich and I went to a movie today then to dinner at Creo's house and we watched slides from or 14 month trip around the world in 1978 & 1979. Time marches on. I will be 74 soon. Hard to believe how quickly time goes. Gabby and Lauren and their 3 children moved to Devon 2 years ago and Gabby is working with Richie Graham. Their friendship started when they were campers at Tecumseh as 9 years old. Best wishes to all and please send me an update on how you are doing. Richard Roe, Sr.

HI Folks, This is my annual message that says I rarely use FB. Not sure why not, but that's the way it is. However, I do like to read about my FB friends. After 5 years in Santa Monica, 15 years in Manhattan Beach, I now live on the beach in Hermosa Beach. My son Rich lives 5 minutes away, son Chris 25 minutes away, and 3rd son Gabby now 3,000 miles away as he and his family moved back to the Philadelphia area. I still travel a fair amount having recently spent 5 months in Australia and New Zealand. Best wishes to my friends and if you'd like to let me know how you are doing, please write. Richard Roe, Sr.

Howdy, The Senior Bachelor might return to television on a new NBC show premiering in September, The Jeff Probst Show. Jeff is the host of Survivor. I have learned to never count your chickens before they hatch as this business is very fluid. At the moment I am scheduled to shoot my segment next Wednesday, August 22. If and when it airs, I will let all know. I will be interviewed about what I have learned about relationships for folks 50+ since embarking on the Senior Bachelor endeavor in 2005.

Hi Friends, The (free) exercise at home workout Abs To Zen is currently in the "Alpha" stage. Which means it is in the test stage. The website is up with lots of cool information if you wanted to take a sneak preview. If you do, and would like to give your feedback, please do. That is the reason for the Alpha stage. One MUST be signed up for Facebook as this app is just for FB users. The basic idea is to work out as a group and be accountable to your friends also working out. It merges fitness with social media. New, great, cool stuff with lots more to come. Please stay tuned. FULL DISCLOSURE: The co-founders of Abs To Zen are 2 of my 3 sons. Ha!!!!!

I have recently returned from what I feel is the best trip anywhere. A 15 day tour of the 7 National Parks in Utah and Arizona plus 2 days in Sedona. Unbelievably spectacular. Just returned from a great 10 day cruise starting in NYC and ending in gorgeous Quebec City. Then a 14 day land tour with a group to Quebec City, Montreal, and Vermont and New Hampshire to see the foliage. Off next week with a group to the National Parks in Utah and Arizona for 15 days.

I was married for 29 years to the eldest neice of Princess Grace. I was fortunate to have stayed in the Palace 12 different times. One of my sons is at the wedding.

I would like to welcome as new FB friends some of the great people I met while Director of Camp Tecumseh. Many of these new friends were campers and/or counselors at Camp Tecumseh from 1983-1995. For the last 5 years I have been a tour guide taking people on trips and cruises around the world. This is my favorite photo on all 7 continents. I saw a fisherman on Inle Lake, Burma (now Myanmar) fishing while he rowed the boat with an oar strapped to his foot. I will post more photos from this little traveled country.
