Banner Elk has worked so hard on its recovery. ❤️‍🩹 We couldn’t be more impressed by the town staff and by Avery County Government.

Downtown Banner Elk is open and invites everyone to return. Restaurants and shops have reopened and would appreciate a visit and a purchase! Losing all revenue from a normally very busy October was the equivalent of losing 3 months of income for many. We've been hard at work this summer, and we have some game-changing upgrades to share! Our biggest improvement this season is the implementation of RFID technology - no more waiting in line to reload tickets! We've also added six additional SMI Polecat snow guns to our snowmaking fleet. Carolina Caribbean is set to open this season with a brand-new covered carpet conveyor - it'll make learning to ride a breeze!

Four Cubs is a 4 bedroom 2-level mountain home that sleeps 8 and is the perfect place for families to enjoy time away.

Our calm and stylish mountain home is in an incredible location nestled in the trees at the top of Beech Mountain. We’re a 5 minute drive to Beech Ski Resort, so you’ll be in the perfect spot to enjoy the town’s many hiking trails, to have an action packed time on the slopes, or just to relax on the deck in our new rockers.

Four Cubs is central to Overlook Barn and many beautiful hiking trails. It's the perfect place for families who want a peaceful mountain getaway to cool off in the summer or cozy up by a fire in the magical snowy winter. We are super convenient to all the local attractions, but secluded for relaxing in privacy.

Enjoy preparing your meals in the open kitchen very well stocked with a drip coffee maker and Keurig (BYO coffee), creamer, sugar, toaster, crockpot, blender, microwave, pots & pans, bakeware/sheets, dishes, glasses and mugs, salt/pepper, etc.

Relax in the large open living room with comfortable seating and a gorgeous stone gas fireplace. The house has robust wifi with fiber internet service. You will have a work area set up with a desk overlooking a large picture window to the woods, a comfy office chair and a thoughtful drawer full of your office needs.

Floor to ceiling peaked window and sliding glass doors lead to a spacious deck with comfy rockers, a grill and a cool Chimenea ceramic fire pit. Surrounded by nature you may even spot deer, black bears, coyotes, and more.

On this main level you have your private large master bedroom with a comfy queen bed and ensuite bathroom with a large soaking tub.

Head down to your super fun lower level with a foosball table, many board games and a perfect lounging area with a large TV.

This lower level has 3 additional bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. The first bedroom has a queen bed, then head down the hall where you pass the laundry area, full bathroom to the second bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite full bathroom. The last bedroom is a fun woodland theme room with lots of space and 2 twin beds.

This house is stocked with everything a family and group of families would need to have the perfect time away.

We want you to come and relax, enjoy all our space has to offer and just take in your time at the top of this beautiful mountain.

Please note that reservations are restricted to a total of 8 guests (including children/infants). Parking is restricted to 2 vehicles.
