As autumn starts to make way for winter here in Scotland, here’s a photo of the boy on a lovely autumnal walk at Glenfinnan a couple of weeks ago. The Glenfinnan Viaduct Trail is a short, incredibly scenic walk from Glenfinnan Station to the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct. The viaduct carries trains, including the famous Jacobite steam train between Fort William and Mallaig.
A stone’s throw from this spot in 1745, Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard to rally the clans as he attempted to reclaim the throne for the House of Stuart.
