My Sunshine Yoga Kids I provide kid's yoga classes in Evergreen, Conifer, and Littleton, Colorado. A summer schedule will I teach yoga to kids from ages 3 to 12.

Kids learn asana along with breathing techniques in a way that is fun and engaging. We may be silly and make animal noises during asana or do a whole yoga class as I tell a story. Other times we make up our own story with poses. We are playful, but the kids develop a foundation for a strong yoga practice. We typically make prayer flags or mandalas with our intentions written on them the first day

of class. During my classes with older kids we work on meditation as well. We make malas and they learn to do mantra. We talk about ways to de-escalate during a stressful day using a variety of breathing techniques. With a background in therapy, I get a sense at the beginning of every class session of what the kids need and want, and develop the class based on their input. As much as the kids enjoy the yoga, they love taking time at the end of class to do a yoga craft. We make mandalas, malas, yoga decorations, color pictures and more. My classes create a full yoga experience.
