Toilet training is so stressful!

What was your experience of toilet training?

Whether you're bringing home a puppy or an older dog, the key to toilet training is forming good habits as soon as possible. While your dog is building up their bladder control, try taking them out around the following times:

🐶 When they wake up in the morning or after a nap.

🐶 After eating and after drinking.

🐶 After a period of activity, like playtime or zooming around.

🐶 Before bedtime – try to make their last trip outside as late as you can.

Getting your dog sniffing is beneficial for them - calming and satisfying.

Research suggests that just 20 minutes of sniffing is equivalent to an hour's walk in terms of enrichment for your dog!

So get that nose working!

We are very excited to be teaming up with Salop Leisure and putting on a fun dog show on the 6th October at their caravan show. The best in Show will be the last class not before child handler and fancy dress.

This means we need some dogs, and their humans to come and get a FREE trailing session.

Coming back from Devon, we stopped at Gloucester Services. A few of our previous dog holiday guests had said it was dog friendly. That statement did not come close to doing it justice!

It is inspirational, uplifting and joyful on all levels! There are literally miles of dog walks but so much more besides with an apiary, wild flower meadows, ponds and wild hedgerows. There are pods outside where you can sit with your dog whatever the weather and inside it is a culinary delight! Not a greasy spoon in sight!

I had wonderful porridge with freshly squeezed juice. There are artisan breads, cakes, bacon baps, fruits, salads – too much to list. If you haven’t been there …rectify it at the next opportunity. Amazing.

It would be lovely to think that just maybe, one day all services will be like that!
