Jelani comes to us directly from Broadway’s Back to the Future: The Musical, where he’s currently starring as Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry at The Winter Garden Theater!
He’s a Montclair State University alumnus who made his Broadway debut playing the role of Simba in Disney’s The Lion King, and also starred as Eddie Kendricks in Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations.
Off-Broadway and regional credits include Smokey Joes Cafe, Cabaret, Oscar Micheaux, Suite, In the Trenches, Love Around the Block, and stage productions of Disney’s High School Musical 1 & 2.
Jelani is also a Papermill Playhouse Rising Star, a Chita Rivera Award recipient, and a proud NextGen Advocate.

From PV to PS, VACAYA flew into Palm Springs for the most epic Pride weekend ever! After soaking in the Puerto Vallarta sun over the last seven days on our annual Mexico resort trip, we flew right into the California heat for some prideful shenanigans. From having one of the best booth’s at the festival to marching in the parade, we had an all around total blast! We even had a few Vacayans join us in the parade who were with us in PV!
